Most of you may be aware of the amalgamation of Dangan and Quin Schools to become one new school Quin Dangan. As a result the Dangan School building is looking for a new purpose. With that in mind, the parish council is seeking proposals for the use of the building, and willing volunteers to be part of the future of said building.

2 representatives from the senior room were in Galway on Thursday the 21st to receive Dangan National School's fifth green flag for Biodiversity. Mr. Frawley and Valerie accompanied them. Huge congratulations to all the school community who worked together to increase awareness of Biodiversity in the Dangan Area. A 5th Flag!! A big achievement for any school, even bigger for a small school!!

This is a letter that was printed in the Clare Champion this time last year. It was written by one of our parents and it highlights the idyllic nature of a small school education. As one of our past pupils said in our jubilee book, "A big education from a small school!!"

Congratulations to the Second Class in Dangan National School who made their First Communion with Clooney School on the 25th of April. Thanks to the teachers and parents who worked together to make the day so special. As you can see, the five children are extremely happy on their Special Day!!

3rd to 6th Class worked together to present four projects worthy of the Intel Mini-Scientis competition. Well sone to all concerned. The Intel representatives were very impresed with the standard and presentation of all projects. It is nice to see that a small school can impress a big multinational such as Intel. :-)
