Tuamgraney National School

Tuamgraney National School Tuamgraney National School is one of two schools in the parish of Bodyke in East Clare.

The school was founded in 1895 and until relatively recent times presented as a typical rural two-room school house. Over the last ten years the pupil population has more than doubled and a number of phases of development have been carried out to deal with the influx of new pupils.The most recent development, the addition of a two-storey extension incorporating two classrooms, learning-support room and storage space, was officially opened in October 2008.

We had great success in the Cumann na mBunscol handball over the past two weeks.
Ollie represented our school in u11 boys and did very well.
Grace and Leah played the u11 doubles competition. The girls came up against a very competent Newmarket in round 1, they beat Scariff in round 2 to progress to the semi-final against Clooney. They beat Clooney by 2 points to progress to the final against silver medal winners from last year O'Callaghan's Mills. The girls played immensely well against the stronger sidw to win silver on the night; great playing considering it was the girls first handball competition.
Ella and Lily played the u13 doubles competition and won silver medals.
Bláthnaid represented her school very well in the u13 singles competition.
Ella also won a Munster doubles gold medal at the weekend, we are very proud of all of the children's achievements!🏅🥈
