The recently established the Galway Barista School is an Independent School set up to facilitate Coffee Lovers at all levels. We currently run One Day Barista Workshops, suitable for students looking to get a Job in the industry, for people already working in a Cafe who would like to upgrade their skills or for people who just have a keen interest in coffee and wa

nt to learn more & have a fun day immersed in the World of Coffee!! With plans to add a Three Day Workshop, Latte Art Course and a Home Brewing Course the Galway Barista School will cater for all. Strategicly located in the centre of the West of Ireland, we are approximately an hour from Westport, Castlebar, Ballina, Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Athlone, Limerick & Ennis.

SCA FOUNDATION VS BARISTA BASICS:

What is the difference?🤔

🌱 The SCA Foundation course is an internationally recognised certification by the Specialty Coffee Association. The Foundation course is suited to those wanting to learn about every element of coffee, from green beans, to origins, to cupping.

☕️ The Barista Basics course is tailor made by our trainers to suit those looking to work in a café or open a business. The course focuses on a hands-on practical approach, teaching you the important basics of creating good espresso and steaming milk, allowing you hours of practice to hone your skills.
