✨ Maths Week 2026 at Newtown NS! ✨

We’ve had a fantastic week celebrating Maths Week! 🎉

Our pupils enjoyed Maths Week TV, interactive games and outdoor maths challenges, with children from Junior Infants right up to 6th Class working together in groups.

It was wonderful to see such great teamwork, problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for maths throughout the school! 👏

💚🌱 PLEASE VOTE FOR NEWTOWN NS! 🌱💚

We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Lidl Green Fund 2026, giving our little school the chance to secure €3,000!

This funding would help us further develop our existing polytunnel by purchasing seeds, plants, crops and gardening resources, as well as creating pollinator-friendly flower beds. 🌻🐝 It would provide wonderful hands-on learning opportunities for our pupils while encouraging sustainability and a love of nature.

📅 Voting started on 15th October and closes on Wednesday, 21st October.

How to vote:

1. Open your Lidl Plus app and tap the Green Fund banner.
2. Select Co. Laois and choose Newtown NS.
3. Spend €30 in Lidl and scan your Lidl Plus card.
4. Submit your completed stamp card to register your vote!

💚 Every vote counts!

Please share this post with family, friends and neighbours. Your support could make a huge difference to our small rural school!

Thank you from everyone at Newtown NS! 💚
