And now the end is here,
And so I face the final curtain.
After 27 years I have decided to call time on Jack and Jill’s preschool.
Although it was not an easy decision to make,I believe the time is right for me now.
This little school has served me and my family well for the longest time,and has brought so much joy,fun and love over the years.
I would like to thank each and every family and child who have crossed over our threshold in the past 27 years.I still get such a kick out of meeting past students, some of which have their own children now.The friendships they made at preschool have lasted the test of time for many.I think there is no greater privilege than to be trusted with such precious cargo!
Over the past 2 and a half decades I have worked with the most amazing, knowledgeable,professional and enthusiastic staff,all of which showed up every day with a smile on their faces and hit the ground running. A very special mention to Lisa who has been my sounding board,confidante and right hand woman for the longest time. We manage to laugh even on the darkest of days!
Tramore and surrounding areas is steeped in excellent Childcare and education settings. I owe a world of gratitude to all of the other managers/ owners and practitioners who were always just a phone call away for help or advice over the years.
We can’t go without mentioning our resident dog Buster,I’m sure he will miss all his belly rubs and ear scratches in the coming months!
And finally to my family,Johnny and our children Clíodhna Michael and Conor,the most important children in my life always.Thank you for being you,for being my constant support and for teaching me all the tricks of the trade of being a mammy and a better person overall.
June will no doubt be an emotional month,and June 23rd an impossible day,but with so many happy memories to draw from,I know we will bow out on a high!
