You’ll learn real kitchen skills, nutrition, presentation, teamwork, and career preparation, all in a supportive, hands on environment. Training allowance available, and no formal qualifications needed to get started.

You’ll learn about:

Cooking and kitchen skills

Nutrition and healthy options

Career prep, communications, and more QQI-recognised modules

This course is perfect for 16–21 year olds who may have left school early or don’t have a Junior Cert. It’s all about learning in a hands-on, supportive way while being part of a friendly, social training centre.

💶 Training allowances:

Age 16–17: €45 per week

Age 18–21 (and on a social welfare payment): €244 per week

Last night’s Graduation Celebration was something special. Our Hairdressing and Construction learners received their well-earned certificates, and we couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them.

Thank you to each learner who took the brave step to continue their education and training with us. Hearing your stories of new jobs, further courses, and fresh confidence reminds us why these programmes matter so much.

A huge thank you as well to the parents, grandparents, and families who came along. Your support makes all the difference, and it was lovely to meet so many of you. The atmosphere was brilliant, the food was fantastic, and the sense of pride in the room was unforgettable.

Keep moving forward. You’ve already proven what you’re capable of, and this is only the beginning. We are immensely proud of you all. 🎓

We are pleased to share an important update.
Following a decision of the Board of Management, Tralee Community Training Centre will now be known as Kerry Community Training Centre, or Kerry CTC.

This change recognises the broader role our centre plays across the county. Our learners already travel from Listowel, Causeway, Milltown, Killarney, Killorglin and many surrounding areas. The new name simply reflects the reach and impact of the service we provide.

Our commitment remains exactly the same. As part of the national network of 31 Community Training Centres, we continue to support early school leavers and young unemployed adults to take their next steps in education, training and life. Stability, respect and a safe place to grow will remain at the heart of our work.

During this transition, you may notice both names in circulation, and we appreciate your patience as the change settles in.
Kerry CTC will continue to serve the community with the same focus and purpose as always.
