Huge congratulations to all the talented students at St Killians NS, Mullagh, the school community and to participating teacher Breeda Kenny and creative practitioner Vera McEvoy Artist who were invited to present their creative skills and storybook 'Freddy Farrelly Saves the Bog' that were developed during their Navan ESC TAP+ residency at the Red Chapel during the Hinterland Literary Festival, Kells.

During their TAP+ residency, each student developed their own version of the book with each book having its own individual ending to the story. The books incorporated handmade pages from recycled materials such as papers, cardboard etc. The students also developed their creative skills as the books contained a variety of tactile elements such as hand sewing, weaving, drawings and printed examples of flora, fauna and textures which represent the bog. For added inspiration, the students also took a research trip to the bog as part of the TAP+ residency.

Congratulations to all involved within this wonderful TAP+ residency on this fantastic achievement👏
