The Kerry South School Completion Programme (SCP) Summer Camp at Presentation Primary was a fantastic two-week experience for our targeted Junior and Senior Infant pupils. The camp was filled with fun, creativity, and opportunities to build confidence and friendships in a supportive environment. Children enjoyed a wide range of engaging activities, including arts and crafts where they created colourful bees, butterflies, monsters, and many other imaginative creations. They also took part in drama, storytelling, nature walks, fruit picking, outdoor nature adventures,Tralee Bay Wetlands messy play, and enjoyed some special treats along the way. The camp provided a wonderful opportunity for children to learn through play, explore their creativity, make new friends, and create lasting summer memories.

“Gymnastics just isn’t for us.”
“Gymnastics is just for girls.”
“My child already plays another sport.”

If you’ve ever thought any of these, you’re not alone. But gymnastics is so much more than learning handstands and cartwheels.

Every child uses the foundations of gymnastics every single day. Running, jumping, balancing, climbing, rolling, changing direction and controlling their body all rely on fundamental movement skills.

Whether your child plays football, GAA, rugby, athletics, dance, or no sport at all, learning how their body moves can help them become stronger, more coordinated, more confident and more resilient, while also reducing the risk of injury.

From their very first class, children begin developing:
💙 Body awareness and control
💖 Strength and flexibility
💙 Balance and coordination
💖 Safe landing techniques
💙 Confidence and resilience
💖 Fundamental movement skills for life

At Jake’s Gymnastics Club, our aim isn’t simply to teach gymnastics skills. Through a wide variety of gymnastics equipment, games and challenges, we help children develop the movement foundations that benefit them in everyday life and in whatever sport or activity they choose to pursue.

“Sit down.” “Sit still.” “Don’t move.”

Children are designed to move.

If your child has lots of energy, loves to climb, jump, run and explore, gymnastics gives them a safe, positive environment to do exactly that while learning new skills, building confidence and challenging themselves.

Challenge their body. Challenge their mind. Give them the confidence to move for life.
