The Monster Scrap Metal Collection is taking place at Thurles Mart on 28th & 29th August, with all proceeds going towards the In Our Hands Campaign.

From old gates and farm machinery to trailers, radiators, bicycles, wire and pipes, all types of scrap metal are welcome.

Celebrating Heritage Week with a wonderful hands-on workshop, delivered by Aoife Munn and supported by Tipperary County Council 🌾

Learn how to gather, prepare, and save seeds to help create thriving native habitats, and take home your own free seeds too!

You will cover:
🌿 Local biodiversity & why seed saving matters
🌿 Identifying native Irish plants worth collecting from
🌿 Knowing when seeds are ripe & how to clean, dry and store them properly
🌿 The legal and ethical side of seed collecting

You will leave with several packets of seed you have cleaned and labelled yourself, a lovely, practical way to connect with nature 🌼

Our friends at Mo Chara Animal Rescue are running short of a few essentials for the dogs in their care, and we would love to help them reach as many kind hearts as possible πŸ’›

They are currently looking for donations of:
🐟 Tins of sardines/mackerel (preferably in oil)
🍝 Packets of uncooked pasta (any shape!)
🦴 Small/medium dog collars

Items can be dropped to:
πŸ“ Either of their shops in Thurles or Cashel
πŸ“ Direct to the rescue in Moyne
πŸ“ Or get in touch with them if you would like to set up a collection point yourself

Every little bit helps these dogs get the care they deserve. If you are able to donate, or even just share this post to spread the word, it could make a real difference 🐢❀️

A beautiful gathering coming to Jim of the Mills, Thurles this August β€” the third point of 'DΓ­seart D'anam' (Hermitage of the Soul), exploring and celebrating the divine feminine presence within the Christian tradition.

The day will weave together traditional Irish song, song from other traditions, storytelling, exploration of sacred texts, ritual, and time immersed in nature β€” a真正 gentle, soulful space for reflection and connection πŸ•ŠοΈ

A light vegetarian lunch is included.
