Do you have a preschooler who never seems to stop moving? That's okay.

Do they love to climb, jump, explore and spend every possible minute outdoors? That's okay.

Do they sometimes find it difficult to listen to instructions? That's okay.

Are they still learning how to understand and manage their big emotions? That's okay.

Are they taking their own time to develop their speech and language? That's okay.

Do they become easily distracted or move quickly from one activity to the next? That's okay.

These aren't flaws to be fixed. They're often part of childhood, and every child develops at their own pace.

At Bluebells, we see the child before the behaviour. We take time to understand each child's unique personality, interests and needs, creating an environment where they feel safe, valued and supported as they grow.

If you're looking for a nurturing, outdoor preschool just 10 minutes from Tipperary Town, we'd love to show you what makes Bluebells so special. Get in touch to find out more. (Amanda-087 4169440)

Our time together is coming in an end which brings with it many feelings... sadness that we won't be a group for much longer, delight that we made it this far πŸ˜ƒ, disbelief that it has gone so fast, excitement for what is to come and pride for what we have achieved together. Our wish at the beginning of every year is that we provide a safe, happy and nurturing space for our children to grow, and develop their strength, confidence and resilience. This year we have done just that, and with realisation that each child that will leave us better off for spending this year in Bluebells makes this a very rewarding experience for my amazing colleagues and I. Now...where is the sun so we can build this swimming pool they have on their end of year bucket list πŸ˜…

It's been a very busy week. We have made dandelion cookies which are actually delicious and blueberry muffins, there has been a lot of risky play involving bikes, slides and jumping from heights and of course the sunshine, making it all the nicer to be outside...

Our new hens have been a great hit with the children. They have loved taking care of them and finding precious eggs every day. The children have taken home the eggs and made a variety of yummy food. We have fixed the coop, learned how to install an automatic door opener and figured out what foods the hens most like to eat. Keeping hens is so much fun and all the better when you get delicious healthy eggs to eat. We hope you all get eggs of the chocolate variety over Easter and come back to playschool with lots of news! Happy Easter everyone πŸ₯πŸ₯šπŸ«

The children are busy developing a vegetable garden. They are interested in the process of planting at the moment, with no idea of what the end product will be. They are enjoying getting their hands into the soil and transporting the big bags of compost but have yet to experience the result of their labours. How exciting it will be when their potatoes, garlic, radishes, onions, strawberries and blueberries start to produce food. We could tell the children where their food comes from but to experience the process from start to finish is the magic of learning. We may have two additions to the Bluebells family coming shortly but we shouldn't ruin the surprise πŸ“πŸ€«

Busy week with lots going on. It was very cold and wet but that didn't stop them from wanting to be outside, wrapped up warmly and constantly moving. We are definitely looking forward to the spring now and taking off some of these layers of vest, jumpers, coats and snoods. πŸŒ±πŸŒ»πŸ£πŸ‡πŸŒπŸ›πŸŒž

We make play dough daily. It usually starts with someone asking for play dough and once the ingredients are sourced 4,5 or even 6 children want to join in. Today this wonderful little human wanted to make play dough so while everyone else was busy we slowed everything down, away from the hustle and bustle, to take our time and do it together. She showed just how much she had learned about using just enough ingredients to do it right and how conscientious she is about her process. She was very proud of the wonderful play dough she made and full of confidence in her abilities. This confidence will see her through many more situations that have nothing to do with play dough and everything to do with life. Slowing things down and taking the time to practice what they know so they can see themselves as competent and capable is empowering for children and so rewarding to watch
