Best of luck to all our Leaving Cert students receiving their results today!

Remember, your points do not define you. They are just one small part of your journey and do not measure your talents, your character, your potential or the person you are.

We are so incredibly proud of everything you have already achieved and of the hard work, determination and resilience you have shown along the way.

Whatever today brings, know that you have so much to be proud of, and we have every confidence that you will each go on to achieve great things and find success in your own way.

Believe in yourselves, trust your journey and remember that your future is full of possibilities.

Wishing you all the very best of luck today.

On Friday, we celebrated an extraordinary teacher, mentor, coach, and colleague as John Mulcahy begins his well-earned retirement.

Having joined our school over 15 years ago, John has left an incredible mark on our community. From teaching Science to inspiring generations of students through his beloved DCG classes, his passion for education, dedication to his students, and commitment to excellence have shone through every day.

Beyond the classroom, John has played a hugely significant role in school life, particularly through his involvement in camogie and school sport. His encouragement, guidance, and unwavering support have helped countless students develop not only their sporting abilities but also their confidence and resilience.

John is the epitome of what it means to be an outstanding teacher. Calm, patient, knowledgeable, and deeply caring, he has been a steady and reassuring presence for generations of students. The girls who have passed through his classroom have been incredibly fortunate to learn from someone who led with such kindness, wisdom, and integrity.

As a colleague, John has been equally valued, generous with his time, supportive of others, and always ready with a helping hand, thoughtful advice, or a quiet word of encouragement. His professionalism, warmth, and good humour will be greatly missed by staff and students alike.

John, thank you for your years of service, dedication, and friendship. Your impact on our school will be felt for many years to come.

Wishing you every happiness, good health, and many wonderful adventures in your retirement. Enjoy this next chapter, you've more than earned it!

A proud day for our school as we recognised two exceptional 6th Year students who represented Ireland on the international stage in athletics and soccer during their time in St Mary’s.

To mark their outstanding achievements and commitment, each donated a jersey which has been framed and will be hung in the school hall as a lasting reminder of their success. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and thank them for being such wonderful ambassadors for our school.
