⚠️WE SUPPORT THE CALL FOR ACTION ON RISING FUEL AND ENERGY COSTS👍

As a collective of over 1500 early years service providers nationwide , we are standing in support of the growing calls for action around fuel and energy costs, recognising the very real impact these pressures are having across communities.

Our sector understands this strain all too well.

For many years, early years services have been operating under sustained pressure for years now! We are constantly facing rising costs, fee freezes, funding challenges, over a thousand lost services in recent years! And increasing operational demands. These ongoing issues are affecting the sustainability of services and the ability to continue delivering high-quality care for children and families.

Every day, providers are working to keep doors open, support staff, and maintain safe, nurturing environments, despite mounting financial challenges.

This is not about politics.
This is about sustainability.
This is about viable essential services all across Ireland.

We are adding our voice to the wider conversation and acknowledging those who are highlighting the need for practical, meaningful supports.

Early years services are a cornerstone of our communities. Ensuring this viability is critical for children, for families, and for the future.

So much fun in February. From colour sorting activities with our Brown Bear, Brown Bear story and introduction to number 5, to lots of arts and crafts for Valentine’s Day and chopping and tasting fruit on our pancakes. Valentine’s interactive story/game and tuff tray petals activity. We had fun playing our interactive Spring memory game and talking about why Spring time is so special and wonderful. We planted seeds and of course had lots of fun digging and building with the soil.

Wishing all our amazing Mammy’s a very Happy Mother’s Day. Hope you all got the lovely treats, breakfasts and flowers, hugs and kisses that our preschoolers talked about all week. 🥰

🎉 Carnew St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Quiet Zone 🤫 #

Carnew Town Team is delighted to introduce a Quiet Zone for this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

This area will be located between Quinn Property to All Saints National School, and is designed to create a calmer, low-noise space for anyone who may find loud music, sirens, or crowds overwhelming.

We kindly ask all parade participants and spectators in this section to keep noise levels to a minimum while passing through.

This initiative helps ensure that everyone in our community can enjoy the parade comfortably.

Thank you to everyone for helping make the Carnew Parade inclusive and welcoming for all and to Graphic Worx for creating the signage.

It has been a while since we posted updates but rest assured we’ve had a very busy time back in term 2. January was a very busy month. With Montessori activities from Puzzles with control cards to brown stairs and pink tower and the introduction of sound cylinders and the Introduction to knobbed and knobbless cylinders. The children enjoyed interactive activities All about Winter, the introduction to No 4 and all about Feelings. They completed sandpaper letter 3 period lesson - no 4. Lots of fun using the pegs and pegboards further developing their fine motor skills and recognizing sequences and colors. We’ve had great fun learning new jolly phonic songs and recognizing new phonics. Shape and color recognition has been a great success with our shapes song and the color song. They explored the outdoors where they found arctic animals in ice. They worked together using water and salt to melt the ice to set the animals free. Great fun was had building forts/castles and then garages and car washes with the foam mats and foam blocks. We are so thankful to have our sheltered area from all the rain which has ensured we are outdoors every week. We’ll have more photos and updates over the weekend about our February adventures.
