THOMASTOWN WATERGARDEN CHRISTMAS FAIR
This Sunday 8th December

In addition to our sale on the 14th, we will have a ceramics stall this coming Sunday at the Watergarden. Besides us there will be many other stalls from local businesses, and of course mulled wine and christmas music. A lovely day out that will definitely get you in to the christmas spirit.

In Conjunction with our Neighbours Grennan Mill Craft School and the excellent exhibitions on display. We will be running a Cafe here at Island Mill, for Arts week. Running from Saturday 11th - Sunday 19th August, Open everyday from 10.00am - 04.00pm . Offering Tea, Coffee & Sandwiches, with a delicious selection of homemade cakes, buns & warm chocolate waffles! Enjoy your tasty treats in our beautiful courtyard.

The summer term, our last term has begun. It's going to be a long one (16 weeks ), a busy one (graduation show), and a good one (especially if the sun shines!).

We’ve spent the first few weeks laying groundwork for what's to come. This has mainly revolved around recycling about 3 tonnes of porcelain clay. Porcelain will be a base for a live project we are working on with the Kilkenny Shop in Dublin, as well as opening up another clay option as we move to producing work for our graduation show in July.

Meanwhile don’t forget - you can still visit our exhibition ‘Making It’ at The Blue Egg Gallery in Wexford until the 5th of May.

Pictures from last weeks opening of MAKING IT at the Blue Egg Gallery in Wexford.

It was great for us all to see the work in a gallery setting for the first time.

A big Thank you to Mary Gallagher for the opportunity to show in her gallery and for the lengths she and her team went to make the work look its best in the beautiful space.

For those who may of missed the opening, MAKING IT runs until the 5th of May.

We’re still all hard at work getting ready for our show at the Blue Egg Gallery in Wexford. The show opens in the evening on Tuesday 20th of March and will run until the 8th of April.

A production cycle at the mill of designing, prototyping, making, glazing and firing typically spans 3-4 weeks. This time though we have 9 weeks and multiple cycles to continuously refine our ideas both on paper and in clay.

The work coming out of the more than 20 kilns we have at the mill is already closer to what we had each imagined, and we're still at it!

We hope you can make it to Wexford to see the show!
