Thomastown Scout Group 3rd Kilkenny Thomastown Scout group is a registered charity and is in existence since 1963. We now also have our own den in The Old Convent School.

Thomastown Scout Group is a very active Unit with loads going on for ages from 6 to whenever you want to stop. We have Beavers aged 6-9, cubs 9-12, Scouts from 12-15, Ventures from 15-17 & Rovers +18. We have very dedicated Leaders & a very capable committee who keep everything ticking over very smoothly.

⚠️ Important Clarification – Solar Eclipse Event⚠️

It appears that a message was distributed in error suggesting that a solar eclipse event is taking place at the Scout Den in Thomastown tomorrow.

Just to clarify, this event is exclusively for members of 3rd Kilkenny Thomastown Scout Group and is not open to the general public.

We apologise for any confusion or misunderstanding this may have caused and appreciate everyone’s understanding. 🔭🌑

🎉 Bottle & Can Drive Update 🎉

We finally got through the remaining bags this evening and are delighted to say we collected €179.95.

Since we started our Bottle & Can Drive in April, we’ve raised an incredible €319.15.

A huge thank you to all our parents and young people for saving and donating your bottles and cans. We’d also like to thank the members of our local community who kindly dropped off bags of recyclables to support our Scout Group. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

So, what’s next? Let’s step it up a gear and see how much we can raise before Christmas! 🎄♻️ Every bottle and can makes a difference.

All money raised goes directly towards purchasing equipment and resources for our Scouting activities, helping us provide even more opportunities for our young people.

Thomastown Scouts is looking for adult volunteers to join our team.

Come and be part of the spirit of Scouting. No previous Scouting experience is needed—just a willingness to get involved. Whatever your skills or background, there’s a place for you in our group.

By volunteering, you’ll play an important role in supporting and developing young people in our community. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

We already have a fantastic team in Thomastown, but we need more volunteers to help us continue delivering the best possible Scouting experience. Most importantly, your support will help ensure that Scouting remains available for the children and young people of our community for years to come.
