Old Bawn Community School

💫As part of a wider Young Social Innovators project tackling elder loneliness, Transition Year students in Old Bawn Community School have created a beautiful fairy garden for residents of Kiltipper Woods Care Home.
After months of planning, fundraising, growing plants, and crafting decorations, the students transformed the space into a colourful, welcoming garden for residents to enjoy. 🌸
The garden is just one part of their “OldieFans” project, which aims to build connections between young people and older members of the community through visits, activities, and awareness initiatives.
A huge well done to all involved, and sincere thanks to Woodie’s Tallaght, The Square Shopping Centre, Rachel Freeman, and the Young Social Innovators programme for their support. A special thank you to Mr Fitzgerald for his leadership and mentorship and to our wonderful students.

Day 3 in Italy 🇮🇹
A fantastic Day 3 for our TY students in Gardaland! Hot and sunny, with a welcome burst of rain ☔️Students finished the day with some time at the pool before packing for the next stage of the trip.

A brilliant day out at Emerald Park for our First Years 🎢☀️
All students took it on in great style — full of energy, good humour and support for one another throughout. They represented the school so well and were an absolute credit to themselves.
Plenty of laughter, a few screams, and lots of memorable moments ❤️🥳

Day 2 done right 🇮🇹✨
Garda Town, a wander through beautiful Sirmione 🚤, a bit of bowling fun (competitive as always!) and dinner to top it off.
Now… pool time ☀️💦

Great first day in Italy 🇮🇹
Venice did not disappoint – a brilliant guided tour followed by a lovely boat trip through the canals. Such a special way to start the trip. Now on the way to the hotel to take it all in 🍝✨
