Kid-e-Winks Montessori School PreSchool We are a sessional preschool catering for children from 2.5 to 6 years of age.

Our curriculum is underpinned by the National Framework for Early Childhood Care and Education, Aistear & Siolta. Children are afforded the opportunity to develop individually, in a warm and caring environment, led by a Degree led team of early childhood professionals.

We love our longer days as a part-time setting as it gives us so much time to go out and about exploring. Today we went on a trek down to the valley. Along the way we had to stop to watch the tractor cutting the grass, then counted nearly “100 steps” 😂 down to the river. We did some “rocket” spotting, then finished off with throwing sticks from the bridge and watching them flow down the river. So much fun and learning happening while exploring, sharing ideas, and enjoying our beautiful outdoor environment together 🌞

Today we had an exciting experience as a real fire engine came to visit us in school. As part of our “Community Helpers Theme” we are learning all about the different roles people have within our community. Real life experiences like this help children make meaningful connections and bring their learning to life in a fun and meaningful way.
These experiences support so many areas of learning including communication and language, social development and an understanding of the world around us.

Valentines week in KideWinks wasn’t just about hearts and treats, it was all about connections. We learned how to use kind words, how to include each other and how good it feels to share something we’ve made ourselves with our families. Through potions and petals, cupcakes & crafts, we explored science, maths, literary and creativity, and more importantly friendships. If you look closely at our outdoor area you might spot a tiny sparkle left behind … proof that a little bit of valentines magic is still in the air ✨ 💖
