The end of August and early September bring lots of changes in our past pupils households, with students returning to and starting college, other external courses, apprenticeships or work placements. It is an exciting and uncertain time for kids and parents too. There are a multitude of opportunities and supports to avail of. Wishing you all the very best of luck, good health and happiness in whatever path you are taking, I am sure you will all shine! Returning students look out for the new first years and help them out wherever you can. New students, there are lots of support and help for you all and friends to make! Congratulations and Best Wishes to my Preschool Class of 2012 who will receive their Leaving Certificate Results tomorrow. Results are not the celebration here, but getting to this day, where you can start to plan your future. Your educational journey was a very different and difficult one at times due to covid, but you made it through! Well done to you all 👏 There are many roads to where you want to be so don't worry about results. I am certain you will all excel in whatever field you choose! What an amazing morning we had today celebrating our 23rd Graduation and the Graduation of our Morning Session Children Frankie, Jaylen, Stevie, Paddy, Luke, Naoise, Zoe, Rian and Seán. We were joined by Parents, Grandparents, Siblings, Aunties, Uncles and Childminders with some travelling from Tullamore for the big day! As we say goodbye to this wonderful group of children, we look back, with joy and smiles as we ponder all the great adventures we had together, nature walks, biodiversity projects, frogs, caterpillars and butterflies, bees and planting gardens. Pizza Fridays and outdoor lunches and happy days spent in our garden, driving tractors, painting and sandbox fun. We have watched these children become great friends and developed real empathy for nature and their environment. We thank all our community involvement when past pupil Mark brought us Chick's, Claire brought Popcorn the Lamb, Shane brought Bagpipes, Nick talked to children about and dental care and the emergency services from Swinford came to talk to kids and show them all the equipment. 'The village' truly helped us to be where we are today! We thank Meelick Community Centre for use of the Hall and the_baking_Corner_lady Kiltimagh for our gorgeous cake. We still have a week left to enjoy together ! Thank you to all our wonderful Children who were beyond amazing today and sang their hearts our 💕we are certain that your are all well ready for your next step and we wish you all the very best of luck in September. Best wishes to my Preschool Class of 2015 who will start their Junior Certificate exams tomorrow. Your junior years in secondary

Best wishes to my Preschool Class of 2012 who will sit their Leaving Certificate exams next week. An important little story to remember, as you all head to the Gym to find your exam seat. Way back in November 2011 I took you all to see Scoil Muire agus Padraig production of Beauty & The Beast, in keeping with the event the girls wore their best princess dresses, crowns and heels and the boys turned out in their favourite superhero costumes. Needless to say you were all invited to the stage and received a standing ovation, you were the stars of the show! So when you sit at your desk next week, cast your mind back and remember how brilliant, brave and outstanding your all were and carry on with the exams filled with joy and confidence, you will all be stars of this show too! A wonderful day to end our brilliant month of May. Today was our annual fundraiser for the Cancer Fund For Children and Daisy Lodge, Hats and Shades Day 🤠😎🥳🐝🐛🌻🌺🦋🦋. The children had lots of opportunities to practice sun safety rules over the last week and of course this morning was raining. But that did not dull spirits, we gathered both sessions together for a wonderful party to celebrate this amazing day. Rachel Fulham came to speak to the kids all about sun safety and to collect all the wonderful sponsorship cards. We raised a whopping 1,323.50 euro! Thanks to all our wonderful children and families, staff and friends who made this all possible ❤️ We finished our day by releasing two of our butterflies 🦋 always an exciting time. We wish all our families and children a happy bank holiday weekend 🐛🦋🐝🌻❤️🩷🧡💛💚💜🤎

May is usually a very busy time of year at the Preschool and this May was extra! We said goodbye to our trusted old playhouse/swing set, it was a loyal friend offering hundreds of hours of play to so many children over the past 15 years. We have fitted our lovely new set thanks to Outdoor Play in Roscommon and already its a big hit. Our garden has been blooming with all sorts of varieties attracting many bees and butterflies. Today we planted our wildflower garden so watch this space as our new colourful garden emerges. Our sunflowers are ready to go home and we have two of our 4 butterflies hatched and tadpoles almost transformed too. Alongside all this work and fun we had a Fully Compliant Tusla Inspection and the inspector complimented our biodiversity work. We had graduation photos thanks to Maria at Swinford Photography and many visits too. Thanks to all our Children who have been amazing, we have enjoyed nature walks and fun days in the sun. May has been a busy month with visitors, it started with a wonderful visit from our past pupil Mark who brought some Bantam chick's for the children to see. It was lovely to welcome Mark back, he always had a love of nature and animals and is studying to become a Vet, we wish him well in all his studies, he will be an amazing Vet. Our next visitor was Nicholas he is one of our parents and is a Dentist he came to talk to the children all about dental care, he presented the children with certificates for their participation in a dental care programme and everyone got a lovely new brush and stickers. Last but not least we welcomed Shane another parent who plays Bagpipes with Midfield Pipe Band. We had great fun marching around the yard and I am sure the beautiful music was heard far and wide. We are so grateful to all our visitors for the wonderful experiences they brought to our service 😊 thanks to one and all 🐣🐤🎵🎶🦷🧑‍🔬
