Dear Friends of Sutton Park School, see below for a message from Head of School Ronan Walsh regarding exciting plans for a new sports hall at Sutton Park School and the "Build a New Hall Ball".

Dear All,

As many of you are aware, we are now entering an exciting period in the history of Sutton Park School. Plans are in place to continue the development of the school from an academic, social and international perspective. To meet our growing needs and to ensure the optimum learning environment for our students, we will enhance and expand our facilities, adopting a phased approach over a number of years.

Our intention is to prioritise a new Gym Hall, given the increased interest in and importance of sports and physical activity to the girls’ and boys’ education and well-being. The space will be multi-functional, used by all members of the school community for many different purposes. We hope to commence the work before the end of this academic year. The Development Committee has been working behind the scenes to make this happen.

The realisation of these ambitions will require investment from the school, some borrowing and financial support from parents, alumni and corporate friends. Fundraising will reflect generosity at all levels, involving one to one meetings, small group gatherings and large events. We are delighted to announce our inaugural fundraising activity –"Build a new Hall Ball", on Friday, 29 March 2019 in Clontarf Castle. Please save this date as tickets will go on sale shortly. Details of this will follow.

I look forward to seeing you at the Gala Evening and to sharing more details of our vision for Sutton Park School, along with its impact on this and future generations.

Kind Regards

Ronan Walsh
