Strokestown Community Playschool and Afterschool Strokestown Community Playschool and Afterschool offers care for children from 2.6 years to 12 years.

Strokestown Community Playschool was established in 1984 and have since built our new purpose built childcare facility in 2010. This new childcare services was officially established in 2011. This allowed us to expand our services from Playschool to Breakfast Club, 2 Playschool sessions and an Afterschool service. We provide an Aistear and Siolta curriculum which helps children reach their full potential through our planned activities.

Our first day at playschool was a wonderful success! It was great to see our returning children back in playschool and to welcome the new children joining us this year. Everyone settled in really well, and the day was full of playing, exploring, and getting used to the routine.

What a fantastic time we’ve had at Summer Camp! ☀️💦🎨👩‍🍳

The children have been making the most of the beautiful sunny weather by enjoying lots of water play to keep cool, getting creative with arts and crafts, and having fun in the kitchen making delicious treats together.

It’s been wonderful to see so many smiles, laughter, creativity, and teamwork. Here are some of our favourite moments from the past few days. We hope you enjoy the photos as much as the children enjoyed making these special memories! 💛

Fun in the sun🌞 !!!! Just add water and ice cream for an amazing end to our Afterschool year.

What a brilliant day of fun! On the hottest day of the year, the adults and children had great fun getting each other wet💧and lots of laughter and smiles all around.

The arrival of the ice cream van was a lovely treat for everyone and made the day even more special.🍦

Today the childern enjoyed a fantastic trip to Upsie Daisys,followed by some fun at the playground in Roscommon Town park.We also enjoyed a walk by the pond where we spotted ducks and even a Heron🦆
