Yesterday's concert which ended a series of masterclasses with David Syme was wonderful.
The atmosphere was so friendly and relaxed and the audience was amazing.
Everyone played their best and the progress of each pianist was clearly audible.
A huge thank you to David for his expert guidance during the last several months.
Also big thank you to Liadh Ní Riada who made us all feel so welcome at Ionad Cultúrtha Baile Mhúirne.

Last Sunday's Living room concert didn't disappoint 👌🏼
As usual the afternoon was filled with fabulous music, delicious food,a friendly atmosphere and interesting people.
David Syme was in a mighty form and especially his interpretation of Beethoven's Appassionata was dramatic.
Chopin's Valse in E flat was sparkly and everyone was in their own prayers during Mi Shebeirach 🙏🏼
David's student Lucie Likarova made a small contribution by playing Romantic Intermezzo. The grand finale piece Tabu had the audience nearly dancing 🎶
The sound of the magnificent 9-foot-2-inch Rittmüller RS280 piano made all the music even more magical.
Thanks to Pearl River Pianos for providing this unique instrument 🎹
Big thank you to David's wife Suzanne for the yummy desserts.
These matinees are always very special and worth attending 🤩

Sunday afternoon well spent 🤩
So wonderful to be together with people who love to share their knowledge and love for piano and help each other to grow musically 🤗
A very interesting insight into various techniques, practicing skills and much more,very entertaining stories and warmth of camaraderie.

Tranquil Sunday afternoon at David Syme's Living Room concert today 🎶
The music was mind-blowing as usual and spiced up by the appearance of a special guest, violinist Keith Pascoe.
Him and David truly are masters of their instruments 🎻🎹
The audience enjoyed Brahms's Violin Sonata in d minor in the first half of the recital.
A very busy piece as I quickly discovered being the page turner 😱
During the break everyone savoured the scrumptious buffet prepared by David's wife Suzanne 😋
In the second half of the programme David and Keith played an emotional theme from the movie Schindler's list,I played a short piece called Romantic Intermezzo and the grand finale belonged to Saint -Saëns virtuoso Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso with Keith on the violin and David on the magnificent Rittmüller piano kindly provided by Pearl River pianos.
Thanks to Cork County Council and everyone involved for this wonderful musical experience.
Really looking forward to the next matinée ❤️

So wonderful to be back 🤩
I wasn't able to attend the last couple of times and I greatly missed these inspiring Sunday afternoons.
David Syme's masterclass truly is one of a kind.
Not only was it great to be on stage again I've also learned a great deal today.
There's a lot of learning in watching David giving guidance to all the other pianists young and not so young.
Everyone was fabulous and it was heart warming to be between friends both old and new alike ❤️
Can't wait for the next one which is going to take place on the 17th of November 🎹

After returning from his demanding U.S. tour David is resuming his solo concerts 🎶

David will perform on the 9 foot 2 inches Rittmüller piano which is now in his living room.
This enormous, bespoke handmade Ritmüller RS280 shares the spotlight of the Silver Jubilee series hosted by David as a Brand Ambassador 🎹
The instrument is available from Thornton Pianos in Dublin.

I've been to David's concert numerous times and I simply can't get enough. Every time is a unique experience not only because of David's virtuoso playing but also for the friendly atmosphere.
I always meet some interesting people there and I'm leaving charmed by the musical experience, David's stories he shares casually between playing the most extraordinary pieces and the scrumptious buffet during the break for which the credit goes to David's lovely wife Suzanne.

I also had the honour to play this magnificent Ritmüller piano a couple of times and its crystal clear tone is a dream come true.

The fourth masterclass with David Syme at Ionad Cultúrtha Baile Mhúirne last Sunday was superb 👌🏼

Despite the drizzle outside there was a warm atmosphere of camaraderie inside.
Great to see the old gang still going strong with their old and new repertoire alike.
It was also very nice to welcome a few newcomers, it gave the group a refreshing change of dynamics.

Lovely to see people coming out of their shells not just in their performances - which are becoming more sovereign each time - but also in sharing their experience and tips which are a great contribution as well as David's professional and very much appreciated advice 🤗

There was a lot of learning in David's virtuoso demonstrations 🎹 and we covered some new topics such as injuries caused by wrong way of practicing and how to prevent them 👍🏼

As always a massive THANK YOU 🙏🏼 to David for spending all this time with us on Sunday afternoon.
It makes a huge impact on all the aspects of approaching the piano. Whether you need some help with technical problems, expression, lack of concentration or to boost up your courage to perform in front of the audience - David is your man!
Also big thanks to Liadh Ní O'Riada for having the door open to us 😊
