As we wrap up another fantastic Summer Programme at Sligo CTC, we'd like to thank all our learners for taking part in all the planning activities. We hope you all enjoy a well-deserved and recharging summer break! We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the centre in September. Have a wonderful break!

A huge congratulations to our learners who successfully completed their Gaisce - The President's Award Adventure Journey!

The group took on the challenge of hiking Benwiskin before cycling to The Benwiskin Centre, where they stayed overnight as part of their journey.

A special thank you to Northwest Adventure Tours for guiding the hike and sharing their expertise and knowledge throughout the experience, and to The Benwiskin Centre for providing a welcoming place to stay.

Well done to all involved on this fantastic achievement and on completing their Gaisce Bronze Award.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our former colleague, John O’Dowd.

John worked as a counsellor in Sligo Community Training Centre for a number of years, where he offered kindness, compassion and support to many young people.

Our sincere sympathies are with John's family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

May he rest in peace.

Yesterday, a group of our learners enjoyed a visit to Knockvicar Alpaca Farm.

They had the opportunity to walk the alpacas, feed them and learn how they are cared for.

Thanks to Knockvicar Alpacas for facilitating such an enjoyable and memorable experience for our learners.
