Ballinode Green Schools invites you to participate in our Walk or Wheels Day on Thursday 22nd October. We're encouraging anyone living in town to walk, cycle, carpool or use public transport to school on Thursday 22nd. Even walking a short part of the journey makes a difference! We fully understand this might not be feasible for everyone, so no worries, you can still make a difference in a way that works for you.

🏀 U19 Basketball Cup Action 🏀

Our U19 Basketball team travelled to Glenamaddy for two very competitive Cup games.

🏆 Game 1: A great win against Merlin College, with the lads putting in a strong team performance.

🏀 Game 2: A really challenging and competitive game against Glenamaddy. Unfortunately, the result didn’t go our way, but the lads gave everything they had right to the final whistle.

We are incredibly proud of the team for their effort, determination and the way they represented Ballinode throughout both games. 💪👏

Plenty to take from the day as we look forward to our next games! 🏀

🏔️ THE ROAD TO EVEREST BASE CAMP! 🏔️

A huge challenge awaits our staff members, Edel Bartley and Orlaith Mullaney, as they prepare to trek to Everest Base Camp! 🥾⛰️

They’re taking on this incredible adventure to raise funds for a very special cause close to our hearts — creating a Sensory Place in our school 💙

To help support their fundraising efforts, we’re asking all students to bring in €2 this Friday. Every euro will help us get one step closer to creating this valuable space for our students. 💙

Let’s get behind our staff, support this amazing challenge and help make a difference! 🙌

Friday 16th Launch Day of Ballinode Community College Fundraiser.

During the Midterm break, two members of staff are climbing Mount Everest.

They are hoping to use this adventure to begin a fundraising initiative to raise money for a Sensory Space in our school.

On Friday, we are going to get all students in school involved in an activity the same length as the hike up Mount Everest. Can each student bring in €2 please.

TY students will be rowing and cycling 130km in the front hall.

All other students will be involved in a whole school walk.

Our Transition Year students recently enjoyed a fantastic trip to Shannon River Adventure in Rooskey! 🚣‍♀️

The trip provided a wonderful opportunity for students to work together, strengthen friendships and develop their teamwork skills while enjoying a fun-filled adventure.

Experiences like these help build confidence, encourage collaboration and create lasting memories along the way! 💙

Two very competitive matches against Grange and Ballisodare two strong teams, with some brilliant basketball played throughout. A great team effort from all the lads 👏🏀

A huge thank you to SocoLab FET Pathways for welcoming our TY students to the XR Hub for a fantastic hands-on taster experience.

Our afternoon session gave students the opportunity to experience Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) training. 🥽✨

A brilliant opportunity for our TY students to explore emerging technologies, develop new skills and get a glimpse into the exciting possibilities these technologies can offer for the future. 👏

A huge thank you to SocoLab FET Pathways for welcoming our TY students to the XR Hub today for a fantastic hands-on taster experience.

Our morning was all about podcasting, and a special thank you to Cara McGinley for sharing her expertise, enthusiasm and creativity with our students. 🎧🎤

There were definitely a few natural podcasters in the group — the future is bright for podcasting! 🌟
