This special collaborative exhibition brings together the Cuala Press Project, Schooner Foundation, Trinity College Dublin and Atlantic Technological University Library. 📚🤝

✨ On Friday 24th, we were delighted to welcome over 50 members of the 67th Yeats International Summer School to Yeats Library for a special viewing of the exhibition with Caitríona Yeats, granddaughter of WB Yeats. 📚🎨 A special thank you to Dr. Angela Griffith for returning to share her knowledge and insights with the group. 💛 It was a pleasure to host everyone and celebrate the remarkable legacy of the Yeats Sisters through this inspiring exhibition. 🍃🖼️

✨ We also had the pleasure of welcoming ATU President Orla Flynn to Yeats Library on Friday evening to view the exhibition with visiting professor from ATU Partner University of Chicago Illinois Michael J. Young MD. Thank you to everyone who has visited so far to mark Yeats Sisters’ remarkable contribution to Irish art, craft, and design. 💛 The main part of the exhibition will remain open for viewing for the rest of the year, particularly during Heritage Week and for our collaborative Autumn Programme with Trinity College Dublin. 🍂✨

As ever special thanks also to our Library staff, and colleagues across ATU, all played a huge part in brining this collaboration, exhibition and events to life. ❤️

✨ What a wonderful day we had yesterday at The Art of Craft – The Yeats Sisters & Irish Design exhibition! 🎨🍃

This special collaboration between Cuala Press Project, Schooner Foundation, Trinity College Dublin, and Atlantic Technological University was a fantastic celebration of art, craft, and design.

A heartfelt thank you to our guest curator, Dr. Angela Griffith, for her fascinating and insightful talk, it was a pleasure to welcome you to Yeats Library, ATU Sligo. 💛

We're also incredibly grateful to our talented local artists Martina Hamilton, Lizzie Kinsella, and Ana Faye for sharing their inspiring design practices and beautiful work with visitors throughout the day. 🎨✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us and showed such amazing support, it was wonderful to see so many people celebrating this exhibition with us. 🙌

And finally, a huge thank you to the Yeats Library staff for all their hard work and dedication in bringing this beautiful exhibition to life. 👏📚

🎨 The Art of Craft: The Yeats Sisters and Irish Design

This exhibition is a collaboration between ATU Library and Trinity College Dublin Library and Trinity academic 🎓Dr Angela Griffith as guest curator. The launch will include a welcome from ATU Library, a talk from Dr Griffith and feature a panel with local contemporary designers with a focus on print and textiles. Light refreshments will be provided ☕🍪
