Today, the Junior Room hosted a wonderful art exhibition showcasing their collaborative projects inspired by the story Giraffes Can't Dance.

Working in groups, the children designed and created imaginative dance floors for different dance styles that Gerald the giraffe could use. From the planning stages to the finished displays, the creativity, teamwork and effort on show were fantastic.

The pupils invited the Senior Room to visit the exhibition and confidently presented their work in groups, explaining their ideas and creative choices. To finish the event, everyone was invited to join in with a dance, making it a fun and memorable experience for all!

Well done to all the children in the Junior Room for their excellent teamwork, creativity, and presentation skills. We are very proud of you all! 🌟👏💃🕺

We would like to thank our fantastic Parent's Association for organising an ice cream truck to visit yesterday after the Talent Show. It was a very welcome and tasty treat for all our wonderful performers! 🍨🍦🌞🕶

⭐ Our First Ever Talent Show!⭐

What an incredible day at our very first Talent Show! We were amazed by the wonderful variety of talents on display, including singing, dancing, music performances, magic tricks and poetry.

A huge thank you to Paul Newell from Gorilla Radio for giving his time to judge the event. We greatly appreciate his support and encouragement.

Most importantly, we are so proud of every pupil who took part. It takes courage to perform in front of an audience, and each participant brought enthusiasm, creativity and confidence to the stage.

Well done to Hazel for being crowned the overall winner for her beautiful harp performance and her mind boggling card trick!

Congratulations to everyone involved in making our first Talent Show such a fantastic success! 🌟👏🎤🎭✨

Curious Minds
This year, the Junior Room proudly took part in the Curious Minds STEM programme and were delighted to be awarded a Silver Award for their hard work and enthusiasm. Throughout the year, the children enjoyed carrying out a variety of exciting experiments, including dancing raisins, spiral snakes, bouncy eggs and investigating magnets. They also planted and cared for sunflowers, observing how they grew over time. The children used iPads to research their projects and discover many interesting facts about the world around them. Taking part in STEM activities helped to develop their curiosity, problem-solving skills and love of learning. We hope to take part in the programme again next year and work towards achieving a Gold Award.

🎓 6th Class Graduation Ceremony 2026 🎓

We celebrated a very special milestone as our wonderful 6th Class pupils graduated from primary school.

The ceremony was filled with memories and emotions as we looked back on their journey through a beautiful slideshow showcasing highlights from their years with us. Each of our 6th Class pupils stood up and shared their favourite memories and reflections from their time at Stokane NS, reminding us of the friendships, achievements, and experiences they have enjoyed throughout their years in our school.

One particularly brave 6th student touched everyone's hearts by standing up and singing a song that had been specially written for the occasion.

It was an emotional day for pupils, staff, and families alike. The whole school came together to celebrate, with music creating a wonderful atmosphere throughout the day.

A sincere thank you to our Parents' Association for providing tea, coffee, and refreshments, and to everyone who attended and helped make the occasion so memorable.

We are incredibly proud of our 6th Class pupils and all they have achieved. We wish them every success, happiness, and adventure as they begin the next chapter of their education.

🚑❤️ Order of Malta Visit to Stokane NS ❤️🚑

We were delighted to welcome the Order of Malta to Stokane NS today. The children enjoyed a tour of the ambulance and learned about the important work they do in our community.

As part of Wear Red Day, we were especially proud to have one of our own pupils, an Order of Malta cadet, involved in the visit.

Thank you to the Order of Malta team for a wonderful and educational experience!
