Class 9 had a wonderful first week back. They were delighted to welcome two new children to their class and everyone settled in beautifully, with new friendships formed straight away. They are all looking forward to a wonderful year ahead!

Senior Infants and the Junior & Senior Speech and Language classes enjoyed a Teddy Bears Picnic at the Peace Park yesterday 🐻

We also celebrated with some great boys who are moving back to their local school after 2 years with us in the Speech & Language class.

We hope they will have wonderful memories of St. John's N.S. to take with them 💙💙

And just like that, the Class of 2026 has made their final walk! 🎓✨

​There wasn't a dry eye in the house as both 6th classes walked the corridors for the very last time.

​This final walk was extra special—and bittersweet—as they were led out by Ms Devenney, who is heading off on a well-deserved career break and moving to the hills of Donegal! 🏔️💚 We will miss you terribly, Ms Devenney, and we wish you the absolute best on your new adventure.

​To our amazing 6th class students: you have been an absolute credit to the school. We are so incredibly proud of the young people you have become, and we wish you every success as you take the big step into secondary school. You’ve got this!

​A massive thank you to all our parents for your fantastic support throughout the year.

​Wishing all our staff, students, and families a very safe, happy, and sunny summer break! ☀️

2nd class' trip to the fire station as part of the time to read programme. The children had a great time and were even given the opportunity to try using a combi-tool, a heat detection device, and spraying the fire hose.🔥🔥🔥🔥💧💧💧💧

This was followed up by a visit to the council chambers where the Cathaoirleach presented them with their certificates. The children especially enjoyed being allowed to speak into the microphones to ask the Cathaoirleach some questions at the end.

Both our Junior/Senior Leagues finals were very exciting and played in glorious sunshine on our front pitch.☀️☀️

There were great skills on display from all sides with only 2 points the difference in both games .🏐🏐🏆🏆
