Playhouse Montessori provides a unique early care and education program for children aged 2½ to 6 years of age.

Through the Montessori ethos and creative play, we provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where your child will grow and learn. Ideally located near Scoil Realt na Mara, Playhouse Montessori supplies a nurturing and stimulating environment where children grow and learn whilst having fun. Our preschool service offers parents flexibility where children can attend on a sessional basis, for 3

½ hours per day or on a part-time basis, for up to 5 hours per day. Our free ECCE preschool places are for 3½ hours per day, 5 days a week, with no additional costs added on, so your child benefits by having an extra half an hour of quality preschool education per day totally free of charge! The following extra curricular activities are a weekly focus at Playhouse Montessori;

'Step into Music Programme' by Ceol Ireland. 'Step into Music’ introduces preschool children to performing, listening and responding, composing, as well as age-appropriate musical concepts in a fun and child-centred manner. It is approved by the Department of Education for Early Start, as it is transitional to the primary curriculum.

Bizzy Breaks - A physical activity programme for the under 5's. Bizzy Break is a series of activities designed to get children moving on the spot. Children move all parts of their body with a focus on strength, flexibility and aerobic fitness.

Why choose Playhouse Montessori?

Playhouse Montessori supplies a nurturing and stimulating environment where children grow and learn whilst having fun. Our preschool service offers parents flexibility where children can attend on a sessional basis, for 3½ hours per day or on a part-time basis, for up to 5 hours per day with full time and part time options available.

OUR ETHOS

The Montessori Method believes that children learn directly from their environment and other children. The ‘teacher’ is there to facilitate the child’s exploration and creativity. All subjects are inter-woven, and the child learns at their own pace. This helps each child gain independence and confidence and be proud of their own achievement.

Playhouse Montessori also recognises the importance of ‘Play’ and the role it has on the development of the child. We actively incorporate ‘Aistear, The Early Childhood Curriculum Framework’ and ‘Síolta, The National Quality Framework’, within our curriculum of activities.

At Playhouse Montessori, we offer the following government schemes;

EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION SCHEME

Our free ECCE preschool places are for 3½ hours per day, 5 days a week, with no additional costs added on, so your child benefits by having an extra half an hour per day of quality preschool education, totally free of charge!

THE AFFORDABLE CHILDCARE SCHEME

The CCSU Scheme

To qualify for the Universal Subsidy and be entitled for up to €7.00 off your child’s sessional weekly fees or up to €10 off your child’s part-time weekly fees, your child must be above the age of 6 months but below the age when they can start the free ECCE scheme. The subsidy is not means-tested. To receive the Universal Subsidy payment, you are required to provide only the name, PPSNs and date of birth of the parent and child to Playhouse Montessori. The subsidy will be paid directly to Playhouse Montessori and will be deducted from the cost of your childcare.

The CCS(P) Scheme

If you are currently availing of one or more of the following supports, you may qualify for a subsidy towards the cost of your childcare place under the government Community Childcare Scheme (CCS):

• Medical card • One Parent Family Payment • Illness/ Injury Benefit or Disability allowance • Carer’s Benefit/Allowance • Family Income Supplement (FIS) • Job Seekers Benefit/ Allowance • Secondary School students• Widows/Widowers/Invalidity/State Pension• Tus Payment• Community Employment/Back to Work Allowance• Springboard/ETB/Solas Students

To apply for the CCSP scheme, we will require copies of your government support letter and medical cards, together with dates of birth and PPS numbers of both parent and child.

PLAYHOUSE CLUB

During the hours of 12.45 pm to 2.00 pm Playhouse Club activities are in session. Playhouse club activities range from, Lego Club, Baking Club, Science Club, Art Club, Sports Club, and many more!

OUR FEE STRUCTURE (September 2018- June 2019)

Sessional Preschool (9.15 am - 12.45 pm) 5 days - €69 per week (€262 per month) 3 days - €42 per week (€160 per month) 2 days - €28 per week (€106 per month)

Part-time Preschool (12.45 pm - 2 pm) 5 days - €94 per week (€357 per month) 3 days - €57 per week (€216 per month) 2 days - €38 per week (€144 per month)

Children who are booked into Playhouse on a part-time basis are automatically booked into our Playhouse Club, however, parents whose children are taking part in the ECCE scheme or attend on a sessional basis; and who wish to extend their child's day until 2.00pm, can do so by choosing an additional option of extra hours at a cost of €5.00 per club session. Please note that Playhouse Club fees are paid monthly in advance.
