The library in Sixmilebridge have kindly agreed to host our Pre-Loved Uniform drop off box for the summer weeks before school re-opens. Feel free to pop any outgrown uniforms and sports club gear when visiting the library. Thank you.

Thanks so much to everyone who contributed to making the Non-Uniform Day such a huge success on Friday. The funds raised will go a long way towards supporting the work of the Parents Association next year. It is very much appreciated.

A quick reminder that all uniform donations can be made at the drop box in reception at the school all this week during camp times. So grab this chance to clear out some wardrobe space. Thanks to all who have donated so far. It is wonderful to see the circular economy in action.

Sixmilebridge Parents Association are delighted to have been successful in their application for funding support through the Clare County Council Building a Circular Community Grant Scheme. This initiative supports local action on the prevention of waste at its source, including reducing single-use items, separating food waste, and fostering awareness about sustainable consumption.

What is a circular community?

A circular community works to prevent waste, including reducing the use of single‑use materials. It also aims to improve waste separation into General Waste, Recycling and Food Waste. A circular community encourages people to reuse items and keep resources in circulation locally, instead of throwing them away.

The Parents Association will use the funds to purchase cups and glasses for use at our family/community events to reduce waste going to landfill, cut down on single use plastic and reduce costs to our school community.
