Clare Adult Basic Education Service-This service offers a broad range of opportunities to adults who wish to return to learning and improve their reading, writing, numeracy, or English language skills. Classes are free of charge and take place county wide. Clare Reading and Writing Scheme-This is the basic adult education service for county Clare. Classes are confidential and are for adults who wi
sh to improve their reading, writing, spelling, basic maths and computers. We can also help if you are preparing for your driver theory test. Learners can work on a one to one basis with a tutor or can join a group class. Clare Family Learning Project- The clare family learning project provides a variety of classes for parents and carers who wish to support their children's learning. Parents' and children's learning is supported by emphasising the importance of the home as a learning environment. Courses are interactive, informative and practical and very much tailored to suit the needs of the participants. Classes are run county wide. Clare Workplace Basic Education- The service provides courses for people in employment who wish to up skill or learn new skills, e.g workplace, IT, Business communications, customer care, food, hygiene and HACCP. Classes in preparation for work are also provided for those who wish to gain employment, these classes are usually ran in conjuction with a practical class, eg business IT, cooking techniques. Class groups are small, free, local and run at your pace.
