Tomorrow is a big day for many of our past students as results are released. We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the very best!
For those who receive the results they have been hoping for, we are delighted for you. Take time to celebrate all the hard work that has brought you to this point.
If the results aren't what you expected, remember that a set of results is only one part of your story. There are many routes to your goals and lots of opportunities ahead on your journey.
Whatever comes up on the screen tomorrow, be proud of your effort, resilience and determination in getting you this far.
We wish all of our students every success in the next chapter, whether that involves college, apprenticeships, further education, work, travel or something completely different.
You'll always be part of The Comp family and you'll always be welcome to call in and let us know how you're getting on!

Leaving Certificate Results 2026

Candidates will receive an email from the SEC on Wednesday 19th August with an information guide.

Available from 10 am, Friday 21st August through the Candidate Self Service Portal - you will need your exam number and the password you created. We would recommend logging on in advance to ensure you have access. The school does not have access to passwords.

The school will not be distributing results however we remain available if you have any questions or concerns. Please contact the Front Office if you wish to speak to someone. Unfortunately, due to a family bereavement Ms Torpey will not be available however Ms Costello will be available. Additional resources and supports available to students and parents are posted on our school website.

Candidate access to data on the Candidate Self Service Portal from 12 pm 25th August.

Applications to view scripts online 5 pm 25th August to 9 pm 26th August.

Viewing of Scripts 29th & 30th August

Application to Appeal from 10 am 30th August to 5 pm 31st August.

Appeal Results 25th September.

Information for LC 2026 students about the Results Helpline:

Following the release of Leaving Certificate results, the Department of Education and Youth, in partnership with the Institute of Guidance Counsellors (IGC), National Parents Council (NPC) and Irish Second-level Students Union (ISSU), will provide a free National Parents and Students Leaving Certificate Helpline.

The helpline will open on Leaving Certificate Results Day (21 August 2026) and remain available until 2pm on Saturday the 29 August 2026.

What topics are covered?

The helpline is staffed by experienced guidance counsellors who can support students and parents with:

• Understanding Leaving Certificate results

• Viewing exam scripts and the appeals process

• CAO applications and offers

• Apprenticeships • Further Education and Training (FET)

• Tertiary Degrees and other progression pathways Sharing this information

Thanks to Shannon’s St Francis Credit Union for their generous donation of €100 from their community fund. This donation will kickstart our fundraising efforts for this year’s school musical. Congratulations to our July Comp Counts Lucky Dip winner - Stefanie Ryan who has won €150! Thank you for supporting The Comp Counts and helping us continue to invest in resources and improvements across the school.

Cara and Ailish have been in touch with Ms. Torpey bragging about the wonderful time they are having in Lourdes with the Killaloe Diocesan pilgrimage. They signed up to volunteer as aids to the pilgrims attending and have been having a wonderful time meeting new people and sharing in a memorable occasion for all.
They have been having the most amazing experience 💕
Well done to all the youth who give of their time every year to volunteer and make memories for life, don't forget to get in touch with Ms. Torpey next year if you'd like the chance to take part!
