What a busy and eventful few days in Birmingham - all on business, but great fun 😊
I kicked things off on Friday meeting Jon Stone Stone of Frederick Cooper. It was fantastic to hear your insights on building such a credible and well-established business in Birmingham, with an impressive client base to match.
From there, I took the train to Manchester to visit Enterprise Ireland UK, where I met Rose Goggin. Over a coffee, we chatted about UK market entry, trade missions, and more. Once you’re an EI client, the level of support you receive abroad really is unmatched - thanks a million, Rose. And what a small world that home is just down the road from our office!
Day two brought plenty of craic at the Mud, Sweat and Cheers event at Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club. Huge thanks to Richard Fallon and the One Thousand Trades Group for such a brilliant afternoon. As members of the TSC, we attend a few events each year - this one was definitely up there.
Also great to unexpectedly bump into Mike Lewis from Enterprise Ireland UK at the event.
P.S. Thanks to Robert McCall, Carla McCall and Roberto Rea for joining me.
Already looking forward to being back in Birmingham over the next few months. If you’re based there and think we should connect, feel free to drop me a message 🙂👇
