Happy Friday everyone 🎨
Our first few days back of the 2026-2027 year!
We would like to welcome back our preschool 2 students and also welcome our new students who have started 😀

This week we settled back in and got to know our new surroundings.
We played with the water, sand, cars, bikes etc.
We also done some handprints and colouring!

Enjoy your weekend and we will see you all back on monday 🥳

We are very much looking forward to welcoming everyone back to Preschool and Breakfast Club/ Afterschool tomorrow for another fun filled year 😊 We can't wait to welcome our new students too 😊😊

Summer ☀️

Happy Summer Holidays everyone, we can't believe our preschool year has come to an end already!

On monday we made dairy and gluten free cookies which went down a huge hit with the children 😊
Yesterday we all brought in our teddies and had a teddy bear picnic 🥪 and ate our cookies that we made on monday 🍪
Today we had a Summer party, we had lots of cool moves shown to us and we also got taught the macarana by some of the girls from the primary school 💃

We would also like to wish our Graduates, Finn, Eychila, James, Jane, Leonas, Lucy, Sarah, Thea, Dean, Riordan, Daire and Frankie all the best in their new adventures ❤️
And we would like to thank ÁMC - Áine & Martins Creations for the delicious graduation cake that everyone demolished 🎂

Our last fundraising event of the school year is a Sponsored Walk through Hilton park on Monday the 22nd of June. We are asking all our families to support this event as much as possible. All monies raised so far this year has gone towards the purchasing of resources and organising school activities which each student has benefitted from. Your child would have received a sponsorship card and we ask you to return this card by Friday 19th June. There will be a special prize in each room for the most money raised. Thank you for continued support and generosity.
And please come join us on the day and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Hilton Park.

Happy Friday everyone 😊 our last full week done and dusted 📆
This week our theme was fathers day and sports day ⚽️

On monday we made fathers day cards and "red playdough" which was our colour of the week 🔺️
On Tuesday we had our sports day ⚽️ 🏃‍♀️
On Wednesday we done our fathers/Grandads profiles ℹ️
SaintEndas NationalSchool also has their sports day and they kindly let us use their bouncy castle and inflatables which the children loved 🏰
On Thursday we coloured our world cup football kits ⚽️
Today we done football yoga and also coloured toy story characters , we also watched a read along "toy story" story 👽

Our colour of the week was red 🔺️
Our shape of the week was a heart ❤️
Our number of the week was 2️⃣

Wishing all our fathers/Grandads/ mothers/carers a lovely Fathers day this weekend, we will see you all on monday for our last few days of the 2025-2026 school year 😀

The Generous Roscommon supporters joined us today in our fundraising efforts, at the Monaghan v Roscommon match, including a certain Chris O'Dowd, who was keen to have a picture with a member from our fundraising committee 👏🤩 We always have a warm welcome for celebrities and the GAA fans, and we want to thank all who have supported our car parks over the last few matches and have given generously 👏👏👏🙌🙌 Roscommon GAA Monaghan GAA

Happy Friday once again, and what an exciting and busy week we had. On Monday we made our graduation hats and practiced our graduation songs. This week we discussed transitioning to primary school and had some pictures and uniforms for the children to look at and fit on. On Tuesday we had a dress rehearsal in our gowns and hats 🎓. On Wednesday we were very busy preparing for graduation and singing our songs on the stage. Thursday was graduation 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓and a great day was had by children, staff, parents and grandparents. We are so proud of all our graduates and wish our 11 children heading onto big school all our love and best wishes, they will do great and we will miss them all. On friday our celebrations 🥳 continued as we celebrated a birthday 🎂 and a visit from Clones library, The children heard all about the library, how to join and all about my open library which allows families to access the library at weekends in their own time.

Happy friday oncee again everyone 😊
This week our theme in preschool was "feelings and emotions" 😊 😔 😠

On monday we read the book the 'colour monster" and learned all about feelings!
On Tuesday we done playdough feelings
On Wednesday we done the emotions matching activities 😔 😊 😠
On Thursday we read the colour monster again and we coloured our emotions that we were feeling 👾
Today we done the feelings science experiment 🔬

Our colour of the week was red 🔴
Out shape of the week was a cylinder 🛢
Our number of the week was 9️⃣

Last week the Internet wasn't playing ball to show what we got up to but we had another jam packed week! Our theme last week was "occupations"

On monday we had the opticians 👓 we also celebrated a birthday 🎂
On Tuesday our occupation was the dentist 😬
On Wednesday we took a trip to the supermarket 🛒
On Thursday we went to Rossmore park with our friends from the gaelscoil and had a brilliant day, this was out last trip with our new pals 🧡
On friday our occupation was the vets and the hairdressers 💇‍♀️

Today we also said goodbye to our butterflies 🦋
Over the last few weeks we have been watching them grow from baby caterpillars 🐛
The children have loved watching them grow and see their life cycle with their own eyes 🦋
