🌱👨‍🌾 Class 9 in the garden 👩‍🌾🌱
With plenty of energy, our class 9 students have been cutting back shrubs, weeding the beds, collecting the seeds and making their own mulch. The gardening curriculum gives them a chance to work with the seasons, care for their surroundings, and grow through hands-on learning.

🍎🌿 In this week’s gardening lesson, our students truly enjoyed the fruits of their labour! After mulching two crates of apples from the school garden, they pressed them into a sweet reward — a total of 18 litres of juice!

Before pressing, each student guessed how much juice we’d get. Robin took first place with the winning guess. Two other close guesses earned 2nd and 3rd price.

It was a joyful mix of nature, learning, teamwork, and a little friendly competition — with plenty of apple juice to share with all the students and teachers at the end. 🥂✨

✨ Class 10 has begun their first mainlesson of the year: Chemistry of the Metals ✨
From discovering how to identify metals to exploring their role in our culture and civilisation, students are diving deep into the world of iron, silver, and copper.

This week, we welcome back Rick the Blacksmith and Susi the jewellery maker for four full days of hands-on metal crafting 🔨💍.
Afterward, we’ll journey through the Periodic Table, conduct exciting experiments, and meet the scientists who shaped our understanding of the elements.

From fire and forge to acids, alkalis, and salts — this is learning that truly shines!

Today Class 9 students begin their first Main Lesson: The History of Theatre 🎭

From Ancient Greece and the first actor, Thespis, through Shakespeare and Commedia dell’Arte, to realism, absurdism, and beyond—we’ll trace 2000 years of theatre while bringing it to life through performance.

This lesson will combine the study of history with the practice of performance, creating a richly active and reflective learning experience.
