Last week we gathered to celebrate our Principal, Enda Kenny’s retirement! While she won’t officially step down until the end of the summer, we couldn’t let the school year end without giving her a proper Sallynoggin send-off.
Over the past eight years, Enda has served as both Deputy Principal and Principal. She was an anchor for us all through the challenges of Covid and introduced the college to Erasmus+, which continues to go from strength to strength today.
If you ask anyone what Enda’s superpower is, they’ll tell you it’s her unwavering calm. She seamlessly became part of the Sallynoggin community and culture, and through her leadership, Sallynoggin has remained an easygoing, inclusive, and vibrant place to work and learn. 🤍
The send-off was a truly uplifting occasion, with heartfelt speeches from former Deputy Principal Fiona Darcy and former Principal Patricia O’Brien, as well as special moments shared with Enda’s sisters and family. The evening ended with a classic Sallynoggin farewell—the staff singing a homemade tribute to the tune of Country Roads, sending Enda off with our best wishes for all the travels and adventures that lie ahead of her.✈️
Thank you, Enda, for your leadership, and dedication. You will always be part of the Sallynoggin family. 🤍
