𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙅𝙤𝙨𝙝 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥

A huge congratulations to Josh Young, Class of 2026, who has secured a fantastic basketball scholarship to Busche Academy in Chester, New Hampshire, USA.

This is a wonderful achievement for Josh and a proud moment for his family here in the Roscrea area, who have also been great friends and supporters of the College.

Huge credit too to Brendan McKeogh, and to all of Josh’s coaches, both here in the College and beyond, who have supported, encouraged and helped him along the way.

Josh’s scholarship is a tremendous recognition of his talent, hard work and commitment to basketball, and we wish him every success as he takes this exciting next step in the United States.

Well done to all the CCR boys who took part in the summer rugby skills programme hosted by Nenagh RFC organised by our own Pat Fitzpatrick.

Both Pat and Alan Kavangh were involved in the coaching, which took place on Saturday mornings during the summer and will prove valuable to the boys as they return to the College for the rugby season ahead.

Best wishes to past pupil as he starts his first year in the USA with Rio Grande Golf in Ohio and Álvaro Vega De Seoane as he returns to North Carolina and the Wesleyan North Carolina Wesleyan University Men’s Golf Team for his 2nd year!

Both boys came to CCR with college ambitions and spent a countless amount of hours in the golf studio working with our PGA Fellow & Master Performance Coach, Bobby King, to make sure that ambition became their reality.

We look forward to following their journey ⛳️🇺🇸

Congratulations to the Class of 2026 on their exceptional Leaving Certificate results. Your hard work, dedication, and resilience have truly paid off, with so many of you reaching far beyond your potential to achieve fantastic results.

Speaking today about the results, College Principal Ms. Catherine Smyth said:

"These achievements open up a world of opportunities as you step into college,
apprenticeships, or the workforce. We wish you every success and happiness in this next
chapter, we have no doubt you will continue to accomplish great things.
