⛽️💧🍎 FUEL UP! And We’re Two Weeks In! 🍎💧⛽️
What a fantastic response we’ve had to our Fuel Up Campaign so far! 🙌
Over the past two weeks, our students have been learning about the simple choices we can make every day to help us feel our best, stay focused, and look after our health. 💪
🍎 We are what we eat!
💧 Water and hydration are so important!
🥦 Healthy choices can make a real difference!
And the big message? It’s the small, simple things we do each day that can make such a difference. 🌱✨
We’ve loved seeing the enthusiasm and engagement from both our students and staff as we learn more about how best to fuel our bodies and our brains!🧠⚡️
🥣 Next week… BREAKFAST!
We’ll be looking at breakfast choices and how starting the day with the right fuel can help set us up for the day ahead. 🌞
A huge THANK YOU to our Healthy Eating Coordinator, Ms. Neilan, and our Home Economics teacher, Ms. Grehan, for all their hard work, energy, and infectious enthusiasm in making this campaign such a success! 👏❤️
Keep making those little choices. Keep fuelling up! ⛽️💧🍎

🚜 Tractor Safety Training
A great day out today for our students at Mountbellew Agricultural College.
They took part in a one-day practical course built to give young people confidence, awareness and safe habits around farm machinery. The day covered:
✅ Tractor safety and hazard awareness
✅ Simulator training
✅ Hands-on driving on a working farm
✅ Safe use of tractors and implements
✅ Practical skills in a controlled, supervised setting
Farm safety matters to so many of our families, and this is the kind of learning that stays with you for life.
The course was funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
A huge thank you to Dr. Patrick Varley, Research and Development Manager, and a proud past pupil of CBS Roscommon for facilitating this training and to Ms. Callaghan for accompanying the students. It means a lot to see one of our own giving back to the next generation.

We're delighted to welcome John Gaynor Carpentry and Construction as a Silver Sponsor of our new astro pitch.
John is a past pupil of CBS Roscommon, and it means a great deal to have him back supporting the school. He knows better than most what it takes to build something that lasts.
Pictured is John with his son Conor.
Thank you, John, for backing this project and the generations of young people who'll use the pitch for years to come.
If you'd like to support the pitch, you can donate through iDonate or by bank transfer. Every contribution helps.

A new approach to phones at CBS Roscommon 📵
From Tuesday 29th September, every student at CBS Roscommon will have their own phone pouch.
It works simply. Phones go into the pouch at the start of the day and are locked away until home time. Students may keep the pouch with them, but the phone stays switched off and out of reach.
Why are we doing this? We want our students talking to each other at break. We want them focused in class. And we want the school day to be a break from the constant pull of the screen.
We've updated our phone policy to match.

If you need to reach your child during the day, please ring the school office on 0906626496 as always. We'll make sure they get the message.
Thanks to our parents for your support. We think this will make a real difference.
