🎉 Massive congratulations to Ms Laura Mannion and the Roscommon Ladies team on becoming TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Champions! 💙💛

💛HOMECOMING PLANS💙

The Intermediate ALL IRELAND CHAMPIONS will be crossing the Bridge in Athlone at 9pm!!

They will then be heading towards Knockcroghery at approx 9:20pm beside the Claypipe Bar.

They will then be in Roscommon for 9:45pm doing a victory lap around the town💛💙

They will finish up in Hannons Hotel at 10pm

Please come out if at all possible to show support and appreciation for this amazing team💛💙

Best of luck to our pupils, Sophie and Eabhanna, who are representing Roscommon in the All-Ireland U16 B Ladies Football Final against Laois in Kinnegad this evening. 💛💙

A huge congratulations to Eabhanna, who has the honour of captaining the Roscommon team, and to Sophie, who proudly serves as vice-captain. What a fantastic achievement for both girls!

This marks Áine's second year on the county panel, and the honour is a fitting reward for her dedication, leadership and commitment. She possesses all the qualities you would expect in a captain and is a fantastic role model for her teammates.

Roscommon Community College is delighted to have received an AIB Future Sparks School Impact Awards 2025/26 Exemplary School Award in recognition of the outstanding work carried out through the project *From Barriers to Belonging: Exploring Educational Disadvantage Through the Lens of the Roma Community in Ireland*.

The project, led by students Kevin, Sophie and Rebecca, was commended for its ethical approach to social research and for highlighting the educational experiences of members of the Roma community. As part of the project, the students had the opportunity to present their findings to national policymakers and the Slovakian Ambassador.

We are incredibly proud of Kevin, Sophie and Rebecca, and grateful to TY Coordinator Ms Glancy, along with the many students and staff in RCC who supported and contributed to the project along the way.

This award is wonderful recognition of a project that explored an important issue while highlighting the importance of student voice.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this well-deserved recognition.
