The most wonderful time of the year is closer than you think …

We know, we know. It's October. But future you already understands something: the best Christmas dates go first, every single year.

This year, there are two ways to do Halloween with us, and one of them disappears after this month.

Option one: the final outdoor igloo of the year. This is your last chance to get an igloo outdoors before they come inside for winter. If you’ve been meaning to book one all year, this is it, the season’s nearly over and once these dates are gone, that’s them until next summer.

Option two: the spooky sleepover. Our Halloween teepees and igloos, styled in all their cosy, creepy glory. Twinkling lights, a den full of giggles and ghost stories, and a night the little ones will talk about long after the last sweet’s been eaten. Perfect for a Halloween party, a monster mash birthday, or a mid-term treat.

Tip of the month: the secret to getting the date you want is simply to ask early!

We're heading into the busiest stretch of our year, and the requests are already stacking up. Halloween teepees, Christmas celebrations, New Year gatherings, and all the winter birthdays in between... the same key dates are being asked for time and again.

Because we only take on a limited number of setups each weekend, the most popular dates fill first, often months ahead. And there's nothing worse than falling in love with an idea for your celebration, only to find the date's already spoken for.

So if something's on your horizon, even if it feels early, this is your sign to get it in the diary. Planning ahead is never something you'll regret, and it means you can relax knowing it's handled.

What a month! Here's a little look at what made September one for The Event Edit memory scrapbook.

Event of the Month: The 21st Festival - probably our biggest and best yet! We created three large bell tents sleeping 20, plus a large igloo party hub, the ultimate hangout complete with its own bar and karaoke. Then came the showstopper: a fully styled outdoor barn dining area, draped from top to bottom, with fairy lights, popcorn and candy cart stations.

Most Popular: Our sleepover setups have stolen the show again this month. From cosy sleepover igloos to our bell tent igloos, these are the ones everyone wants their own version of. Styled, weatherproof, and endlessly requested, it's easy to see why they’re so popular.

BTS: A big moment for us behind the scenes: our September Staff Induction Day! We welcomed our newest team members, kitted them out, and got everyone ready to bring the magic to your celebrations. We couldn't be prouder of the team we're building.

Looking Ahead: First, spooky season, our Halloween teepees are on their way, perfect for a mischievous sleepover or a monster mash to remember. And second, a beautiful autumn wedding on the horizon, the season for cosy celebrations is officially here.

The kids’ table gets a bit of a bad reputation. Wobbly folding table, paper cloth, a few crayons, tucked away in a corner. Our edit is anything but that!

For this milestone 40th at Beaufort House, we styled a children’s table with the same care as everything else. Thoughtful detail, a proper sense of occasion, so the little guests felt every bit as special as the guest of honour.

And the finishing touch is always our team. The people who set every piece just so, who make it look effortless, and who genuinely love what they do. This time with a very proud little helper in his own Event Edit uniform, learning the ropes early.

This is the detail that sets a celebration apart. When the little ones’ space is styled with intention, the whole room feels considered.

Here’s to 40 years, and a table the kids won’t forget!
