🎉🎊We had a great first day back at school today for the new school year. We were very happy to welcome back our pupils and their families and especially welcome our new pupils and families to Castleplunkett. We hope they will be very happy to be part of our school community. A great milestone to have returned to three classrooms also. We are very proud of our lovely school. 🎊🎉

⭐️⭐️As we get ready to start a new school year on Friday, a little blast from the not too distant past!
During our summer clean up we found this trip down memory lane, from the Roscommon Champion paper marking the school’s centenary celebrations in 2003! Some familiar names and faces, some changes along the way, but still a vibrant and happy school community. ⭐️⭐️

🤩🤩A bright fresh look for our lovely school this summer, as our summer jobs near completion! The building is nearly ready to welcome everyone back on Friday 28th of August.
Several jobs have been completed by professional and hardworking contractors over the summer and we thank them for the same. 🤩🤩

🎭✨ READY TO SING, DANCE & TAKE TO THE STAGE? ✨🎭

Castlerea Youth Stage School are getting ready for another brilliant year! Singing, dancing, acting, making friends, building confidence and, most importantly, having plenty of fun along the way! 🌟

This year the Juniors will take us on an adventure with The Wind in the Willows, while the Seniors head down the rabbit hole with Wonderland the Musical! 🐰🎶

📅 Enrolment: Tuesday, 25th August
⏰ 6pm – 7pm
📍 Trinity Arts Centre, Castlerea
👧🧒 Ages 6–15

Their shows hit the stage on 13th & 14th March 2027 and they would love some new faces to join them!

✨New Junior Book Club at Castlerea Library! 📚

As part of Summer Stars, we’re excited to launch our Junior Book Club for children aged 9-12 in Castlerea Library!

🗓 Starts: Thursday, 23rd July
🕐Runs: Every two weeks until 3rd September

Join us for a fun summer of reading, activities and book chats with other young readers. Places are limited, so booking is essential.
