Yesterday was about far more than competition. 🇮🇪🤝🇨🇦🇳🇿
Team Ireland came together with players from Canada, the overall tournament champions, and New Zealand, winners of the second competition, for mixed Flag Football games that truly captured the spirit of international sport. What made it special was not just the play on the field, but the way the players created the experience themselves—from forming balanced teams and agreeing the rules, to calling plays, and managing substitutions with maturity and fairness.
It was a powerful showcase of leadership in action, where responsibility was shared and every voice mattered. Communication flowed across cultures, trust was built in real time, and respect for one another shaped every decision. Moments like these highlight how sport can unite people far beyond borders, language, or results.
Watching athletes from three nations collaborate so seamlessly was inspiring—proof that when young people are given ownership, they rise to the occasion with empathy, discipline, and genuine connection.
