Yesterday I arrived at one of the most amazing scenic spots outside , Altar just outside Schull. Having been invited to speak as a Pact Ambassador and Educator and artist to a wonderful group of women celebrating 35 years together as a community and garden group.
These women represent, respect, resilience and women embracing their own power and inspiring change .
Many conversations had over tea and cake about climate change our wool industry and missed opportunity. We discussed our heritage and nature and our renewed focus in some ways with victory gardens, and spirit in the wake of a fractured world.
Today I leave refreshed, renewed and baptised by the rain looking forward to working with this amazing group of women highlighting a community in wool, gardening, sustainability and friendship.

As we come to the end of the year and speed toward Christmas, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on of the past year as Leader of Wool in School, Specialist, and .

At the beginning of the year, I was honoured to be invited as a guest speaker and panel moderator at the 7th New England Farm and Fibre Festival at the Cyclorama Centre for the Arts.

In the lead-up to ’s Day (8th March), honouring Mary Robinson and women leaders, I hosted— in association with Project Dandelion and supported by the European Climate Pact— a screening of the Mary Robinson documentary, followed by a panel discussion with writer and journalist Geraldine Walsh, ecologist Konieczka (Understory), and students from Ratoath College.

I attended the Mary Robinson Centre for the impactful event “Courage in Crisis”, Mary Robinson’s and Conference—an experience that reaffirmed the urgency of our work.

Throughout the year participated in the Meath pilot for the National Age Friendly Ireland Friendly Workplace Recognition Programme.
Visited Leinster House on several occasions to advocate for Wool in School’s climate literacy and climate smart skills programme as a tangible pathway for Ireland to meet its climate and circular economy targets.
Also linking in with Haven Horizons and Community of Practice on GBV.

As I write this, we are still actively engaging with government departments to encourage meaningful delivery on the Climate Action Plan, Circular Economy Strategy, and climate literacy goals—at the scale that is truly needed.
Alongside all of this, I also launched my Presidential Campaign, something I am immensely proud of. Working closely with Edel Grogan, my Campaign Manager, was incredibly special—her support and belief were powerful. While some friendships and business relationships were lost (a reality many leaders face), far more was gained. I met inspiring, generous people and formed new friendships rooted in shared values. Nothing was lost—only gained through hard work, courage, and conviction.

Great day at the PĂșca Festival in Trim county Meath celebrating all thing Halloween.
We are expecially delighted to have our founder as one of the European Climate Pact Ambassadors at the event with .ie

As part of the event European Climate Pact Ambassadors came together to support a sustainable approach to the festival and offer support and information in the climate tent. In addition a live podcast was also aired with the climate pact ambassadors discussing climate action in daily living and ways of approaching sustainable festivals.

Future Tapestry a VR experience was also showcased the amazing art piece on the story of wool by funded by

Supported by the amazing Connor who expertly managed to show to 150 people of all ages.

Delighted to attend the ISL festival in Athy today. Wonderful atmosphere from singing dancing, crafting, VR and even aerial dancing.

**Upddate***

Yesterday marked the final day of Presidential Nominations from County Councils. I attended Meath County Council, where I presented before Gareth Sheridan, speaking about strength, purpose, and the urgent need to restore justice. Though my campaign concludes here, I hold firmly to the belief that true leadership is not about money or power, but about service and responsibility.

I also engaged with Monaghan and Kilkenny through Zoom, continuing the conversation that leadership must rise above obstacles. Unfortunately, throughout this process, many hurdles were placed before candidates—both by government and at council level—barriers that undermine the democratic spirit of our nation.

Yet, for me, this is not an end but a beginning. This election is more than my personal journey; it is the foundation of a story that will be told to future generations about courage, resilience, and the fight for a fairer democracy.

In total, I presented before 10 councils, with 6 additional councils considering my candidacy—16 in all. As of today, 27 councils have not nominated a single candidate. This is unprecedented in our Presidential history and a reality that must never be allowed to happen again. For the sake of our democracy, we must ensure that every voice is given a chance to be heard, and every candidate a fair opportunity to stand.

It is time I share with you that I am currently campaigning in the Presidential Election.

Ireland has always been more than a country - it’s a story. A story written in resilience and retold in every generation. But today, that story is facing its hardest chapter yet. Climate change threatens the land that shaped us. Inequality strains the ties that bind us. And too often, the voices that matter most are the ones left unheard.

I am running for President because I believe the Áras is the hearth of warmth, a gathering place for every voice in this Republic.

This campaign is a call for unity, for courage, and for a renewed sense of national belonging.
I hope you’ll join me on this journey.

We are in a Climate and Nature Crisis no matter how we look at it. Our nature baseline has changed over the generations. Our Great Grandparents nature baseline was very different to our children's today. We have lost so much of our native species and respect for nature. We all have a responsibility small or big to ensure the next generations baseline doesn't decrease even more.
We are loosing 150 - 200 species a day each lost forever. This worries me! As the loss of is a massive threat to life for all of us.
It is so concerning that Governments are withdrawing and reducing funding for nature and .
What can we do, we all need to use our voice for nature and try to create a small space for .

In my own garden I have turned half of it into an ARK Acts of Restoritive Kindness developed by the wonderful Mary Reynolds
I plan to create and nurture a space for renewal of nature with native Irish species and maybe even use for natural dye linking in with out heritage wool.
