Laurel Braitman's newest TED Talk dropped recently and she focuses on the guilt and regret she felt after her father died - and how she learned that his death truly wasn't her fault after she volunteered with Josie's Place in SF. She met kids who sounded just like her, but it was so clear that they weren't at fault that she could finally give herself that space too.

Creativity at its best, allowing a child to express themselves and their feelings through whatever medium they choose, increases self-esteem and confidence, allowing them to speak up for themselves and tell peers and adults how they feel...

Children's play increases creativity, which in turn increases self esteem and confidence when they see what they created. Something they can be proud of. This releases a rush of dopamine in the brain..... causing neuron's to ignite and make connections...... This is the power of play, increased brain development!

Listen to these podcasts.... Bessie you are a breath of fresh air, your podcasts speak in normal English explaining the WHY of children's behaviour and identifying the wrongs in our world. Children are children.... they are not bad people..... they just need love and to be listened to, and a secure HOME!
