Bellevue Crèche and Playgroup was established in 1997 by Jennifer Cullen and provides a top-class Early Years Educational Service in the Rathdrum area. Jennifer has over 30 years of experience dedicated to working with children. She appreciates the importance of all aspects of early childcare and ensures the delivery of a top quality service. Bellevue Crèche and Playgroup works in partnership with
children and their families and this collaborative relationship underpins the core value of the service provided. We are dedicated to providing a first class warm, caring and secure environment in which children are facilitated and encouraged to explore and develop. The staff at Bellevue understand young children’s developmental needs and provide appropriate interactions and learning opportunities. A team of highly qualified childcare professionals are part of the team at Bellevue. Both the owner & manager were recently conferred with an honours degree in Early Childhood Education and Care following 4 years of study. All staff members are qualified to Fetac Level 5 & staff professional development is on-going to ensure continuous up-skilling for all staff members. Planning is a vital component of our work & we adhere to the guidelines and principles of the National Quality Framework Síolta and the Curriculum Framework Aistear. Crèche, Pre-school, and After-school services are provided for children from 6 months to 12 years old. The indoor learning areas are suitably set at the children’s level with appropriate sized furniture and materials within their reach. Play areas eg. kitchen area, work-bench, dressing-up area, painting easel, low sink for water play, sand-pit and an area for relaxation and book-reading, are provided to facilitate children to reach their full developmental potential. The outdoor play area is fully equipped with a variety of houses, swings, slides, bikes and cars to facilitate young children’s development The flower garden provides opportunities for messy play & the sand and water play areas provide valuable “play” opportunities for all to enjoy.
