Our Junior Room has been a hive of activity over the past few weeks! 🐝

The children have been busy learning, exploring and having lots of fun along the way! From getting creative with art and developing their ICT skills to practising their phonics, exploring patterns and sorting, and enjoying lots of wonderful stories, there has been no shortage of excitement!

It's lovely to see the children growing in confidence, developing new skills and learning so much through play and hands-on activities.

Keep up the fantastic work, everyone! ✨

Our pupils have finished their 5-week block of swimming lessons at the Castle Hotel Leisure Centre. It has been a fantastic few weeks, with the children developing their swimming skills, water confidence and, most importantly, having great fun along the way!

A huge thank you to CART Carriganima for providing transport to and from the lessons each week, and to our Parents’ Association for their continued support of the swimming programme. We really appreciate your help in making these lessons possible for our pupils.

Well done to all the children for their enthusiasm and effort over the five weeks! 👏

Some of our pupils have been very busy in the kitchen since returning to school in September! So far, they have whipped up a delicious selection of cookies, queen cakes, brownies and brown bread and there have been plenty of tasty results along the way!

Baking is a brilliant way to practise lots of important skills, from measuring and following instructions to teamwork, independence and patience. Most importantly, the children have really enjoyed getting stuck in and taking pride in what they have made.

We’re looking forward to seeing what comes out of the oven next! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳✨

The children had a lovely time today on a nature walk down to the river. 🌳💧

A little rain certainly didn’t dampen our spirits! ☔😊 We enjoyed exploring our local environment, taking in the sights and sounds of autumn and spotting lots of interesting things along the way. 🍁🐾🌱

It was a lovely opportunity to get outdoors, enjoy some fresh air and appreciate the wonderful nature right on our doorstep. 🌿🥾

🌟 Our pupils had great fun designing and creating their very own name keychains using our state of the art 3D printer!

It was fantastic to see the children bringing their ideas to life while developing their creativity, digital skills and understanding of how technology can turn a design into something they can hold in their hands.

A brilliant example of learning, creating and having fun with technology at Kilcorney N.S. 🌟

We were delighted to welcome our new Junior Infants to school earlier this week, and they are already settling in so well!
They’ve been very busy getting to know their new classroom and routines, joining the other children in the Junior Room, making new friends, learning, singing, playing and having lots of fun along the way. 🎨📚🎶
We hope they have a very happy first year with us and we’re looking forward to watching them learn and grow throughout the year! ✨

🌟🌟Best of luck to our wonderful pupil Laura who takes to the field in Croke Park tomorrow to play at half time during the Dublin v Kerry Football Semi Final at 4pm.

This is a fantastic achievement, following her placement in the Mini 7’s competition, and a very special occasion.

We are all incredibly proud of you, Laura, and wish you every success as you showcase your football skills on such a big stage!

Enjoy every moment and make memories to last a lifetime! 🌟 🌟
