I thought I would give you a quote from another famous author...Gabor Mate'
He is the author of the book: In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts.
At the heart of Maté’s philosophy is the belief that there’s no such thing as an “addictive personality”. And nor is addiction a “disease”. Instead, it originates in a person’s need to solve a problem: a deep-seated problem, often from our earliest years that was to do with trauma or loss.
Some addictions are easier to resist than others but they are still addictions.
Let's be ready to face the pain as that is the only way to move forward and grow.

Who do you read for inspiration?

Hormonal headaches are different to stress headaches or other types of headaches. Hormonal headaches come due to a dip in estrogen and other hormones related to menopause. Keeping track of your headaches will help you understand if they are hormonal or not.
If you know that they are hormonal, make sure you drink plenty of water the day before you feel that you will have the headache and even on the day you are expecting it. Keep your body temperature cool and try to stay relaxed. Don't forget to eat your omegas and don't "forget" to eat!

I had never experienced hormonal headaches before. I was familiar with stress headaches and dehydration headaches, but hormonal ones were new to me. Then, when I entered perimenopause, everything changed! A day before my period, I would suddenly get these intense headaches that forced me to pause everything and just rest!

Can anyone relate to this?

To understand if my hormones followed a pattern, I started keeping track every month. It was actually a relief to discover that there was a pattern. Now, I prepare myself for the pain and find ways to work around it. I've also made other lifestyle changes to help alleviate the symptoms.

If you're not a fan of app trackers, you can visit my website and download a free printable tracker to keep near your bed. It will assist you in journaling your symptoms.

I know that I feel embarrassed to talk to my GP about problems that go around s*x. I am not familiar with him and it's not an easy topic to talk about even for me that love to talk about s*x. This is the main reason why women stay in pain for far too long. It doesn't have to be that way because we all go through different problems and painful s*x is a topic we women need to talk about!

If s*x is painful, there are several ways to overcome ge***al discomfort and dryness and improve your libido

Moisturization or lubrication is the first question I would ask myself. This plumps the va**na and allows it to be more supple, reducing any discomfort or pain. Use more natural lubrication, as some may have chemicals that could further irritate your va**na and lower regions. Get in touch for recommended ones.

Another tip I would give to my clients is to get to know your body. Practice regular stimulation, alone if you prefer. Get your body used to touch and discover what is comfortable for you.

There are other things we can do but the post would be too long and boring (it already is too long, I hope not boring). Get in touch with me if you are having issues down there...I'm no doctor but can help.

As we age, our desire for s*x often decreases, although this isn't true for everyone. Contrary to popular belief, this change isn't solely related to menopause. It can be attributed to physical changes in the va**na and/or psychological signals from the brain indicating that we no longer require babies.

But you might say, "Who cares about the reasons? I just want my s*xual desire back!"

I completely understand and hear you loud and clear!

There are several steps you can take, which I'll outline this week. However, the first and foremost is to have an open conversation with your partner. Discuss your feelings and ensure that they don't feel excluded or blame themselves for the situation.

Not sure that the problem is only the cost, but it definitely is knowledge about them and feeling free to speak out about them.

Davina McCall has revealed that having a coil fitted was a "game-changer" and that before she had it, her PMT was "quite severe".

Hot flushes can have other symptoms. Nausea, dizziness, jitters, and chills can be some of the feelings you get. Keeping track of when and where these happen can help explain why they are happening.

Constantly question, what you did before it happens. Ask yourself if you are drinking enough water.

Let's find the culprit.
