We offer accredited courses in Healthcare, Nursing, Business, Social Studies, Level 5 Preparation, Fashion Design, and Accountancy, with both part-time and full-time options available 👍

Our Open Day will be split into 2 sessions. Our morning session will run from 10am–1pm, and our evening session will run from 5pm–7pm.

Great to welcome Charlene Brogan from Offaly Local Development Company to LOETB Portarlington yesterday. Charlene delivered an informative talk on the WorkAbility – PLACE Programme currently being offered by the Offaly Local Development Company.

This programme is aimed at individuals aged 16 or over who are experiencing physical or mental health difficulties that are preventing them from being active in employment.

The programme offers participants:

*Professional career pathway development
*Skills-specific education and training
*Job-seeking skills
*Personal development
*Confidence building
*Support in seeking employment

Offaly Local Development Company also works with employers.

The programme offers employers:

*Workforce training, mentoring, and job shadowing
*Workplace job assessments
*Liaison support to help employers connect with a variety of workplace support schemes
*Recruitment of workers
*Ongoing mentoring and support with employment
