Please, help me understand and to make sense of this

I have been trying to re-open my Childcare business since August 2025, after I was forced to close due to sale of the building.

I have made endless applications, phone calls, emails in order to secure funding/ grant/ support, anything that could help.

Result - My Childcare Business doesn’t tick the boxes!

- My business will directly create jobs for at least 10 people

- My business will create childcare spaces, therefore enabling parents to work, so indirectly my business will allow another 50+ people to be employed

- My business will provide government childcare schemes (ECCE, NCS, AIM) therefore creating more accessible and more affordable childcare for families

- My business will provide vital Early Childhood Education and care for children

Yet, my business doesn’t tick all the boxes, so essentially it is considered as NOT VITAL, NOT IMPORTANT for our community!!!

Feeling of complete helplessness and frustration as yet another article has been shared with me 😔.

Childcare crisis is real only for parents and small childcare providers!

As many of you will remember due to circumstances out of my control, I was forced to close my service last year, with a very short notice. Which left community devastated.

Since then I am trying to re-open SuperKids, although I have secured appropriate premises, the process is lengthy and very expensive. No support, no grants available from government.

I have experienced first hand the saying '' Money Talks" as if you don't have it, nobody talks to you 😅.

Those few small service providers who manage to get bank loans of hundreds of thousands euros, they are left with no other option but to charge high childcare fees in order to re-pay those loans for many years to come.

Since May last year, I have been trying to re-open my service, knocking on every door with no success. So many times I just wanted to give up, but then decided to do just one more step 😞.
If Childcare crisis was a real issue for the government I'm sure there would be options and support for providers to open services!
