We’re so proud to join Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind for their “A City of Tails” campaign which begins today, marking 50 incredible years of life-changing work in Cork 🐾

From August 22nd to 28th, keep an eye out for 50 vibrant, life-size dog sculptures taking over Cork City- each one has been painted by local artists, schools and community groups, including St. Peter’s! 🐶

Be sure to drop into St. Peter’s Church on North Main Street to meet our very own sculpture “Peter”, who was expertly designed and decorated by a very talented group of students before the summer break 🐕 Take a stroll through Cork, scan the QR codes on each dog to hear their stories and help support the Irish Guide Dogs along the way ❤️🐶

Today we gathered to celebrate the Graduation of our Class of 2026! 🎓

Looking back at where this journey started for our Covid First Years in 2020 in the A-Corridor classrooms, it’s hard to believe six years have flown by so fast. You have grown from quiet First Years into the kindest, most caring leaders our school could ask for 🙌 From sports field glory (including County and All-Ireland championships! 🏆) to the Junior Cycle and Transition Year adventures, and now the impending Leaving Certificate, you’ve shown incredible resilience 💪 But your greatest accomplishment will always be the way you have looked out for each other during the tough and stressful times. We are so proud of the deeply supportive friends you have been to one another through it all 💫

As you head into the next few weeks and years ahead, never forget that St. Peter’s is always cheering you on. We are so proud of you- Congratulations to the Class of 2026 ✨🎓

What a day! Our Barr Bua Awards are always a highlight of our school calendar, a rare and special occasion where our entire school community gathers to celebrate the academic, leadership and extracurricular achievements of our students 💫

A sincere thank you to this year’s Guest Speaker, past pupil Sean O’Mahony. Sean retraced his steps through the halls of St. Peter’s today, sharing his inspiring story of determination and hard work. His message to follow your passions, embrace new challenges and to stay dedicated is exactly what we endeavour to instill in our students every day✨

Official photographs of our award recipients will be taken next Monday, but for now we hope our followers and community join us in celebrating the incredible achievements that were recognised today 👏 Congratulations to all of our Barr Bua winners!🏅🏆
