Nurney Community Games is a voluntary organisation as a member of Kildare Community Games. We aim to provide activities for children between 6 and 16 in the Nurney area. Nurney is known as an active area with GAA and Camogie, but we hope to widen the activities through Community Games.

Under 15: Competitors born on or before 31 July 2003 are overage
​Under 14: Competitors born on or before 31 July 2004 are overage
Under 13: Competitors born on or before 31 July 2005 are overage
Under 12: Competitors born on or before 31 July 2006 are overage
Under 11: Competitors born on or before 31 July 2007 are overage
Under 10: Competitors born on or before 31 July 2008 are overage

Hi Everyone,

Sorry we have been away for the last few months, but we are going to be coming back to you very shortly.

Over the coming weeks, Shauna will be in the school talking most of the classes (Senior Infants and Up) regarding getting involved this year.

Each year we seem to have a lot of interest from the kids but unfortunately it is hard to do every event without the voluntary help of parents, family and friends.

Our main purpose is to provide a fun foundation for the kids of Nurney and to experience new events that they may not have tried before and we really need your help.

If you would be interested in helping out, Please contact us and we would love to have you on board!

If there are any questions, Be sure to message us and we will help in any way we can!

Over the coming weeks we will be posting a number of events, age guidelines, rules, panel size.

I am so proud of each and every one of these girls!
Between training in the lashing rain, coming back from holidays early, missing parties and staying late at training they are an amazing group of girls!

They went out and played their heart and soul on the pitch and played as a team!

The day didn't go our way but we held our heads high and travelling back to Nurney as the County Champions and Leinster 3rd place!

The whole team will go on and play Feile Rounders next weekend in Limeklin Dublin and it's a mixed team! Both boys and girls repersenting our little area!

Thank you to all the support throughout the year and let's hope they all come back and play next year!!

It is with a heavy heart We are sorry to announce that due to a number of factors, Our area athletics evening has had to be cancelled.

We are sorry to any children that were due to compete but if your child would still like to run in the county finals please let us know and we will try to arrange something for you.

Please be assured that we will however be running a large sports day during the summer for the entire area and hope to see you all then!

Nurney Community Games Athletics Day Postponed!!!

Athletics that was due to be held in Nurney GAA tomorrow-Sunday 19th at 2pm is now postponed to the following:

Wednesday 22nd June
Nurney GAA Pitch
6pm

We apologise for any inconvience caused but due to a number of factors including the Kildare Town Derby Parade and Father's Day, We feel a lot of children would miss out on the oppertunity to compete.

We incourage participation and that is why we feel it best to change the event.
