Senstory Senstory is a conjunction of educational and mentoring services provided for parents of children with additional needs. I want them to thrive.

My name is Gosia Treska and I am an additional needs teacher, who also specialises in mentoring and training. I hold a Masters Degree in English Literature and Education, I have completed a great number of courses which complement my over 15 years of experience in teaching. I am the Thrive Approach practitioner, which focuses on helping children become more emotionally resilient. Some of the other

courses I have completed over the years include:
Intensive interaction

Team Teach
Eating and drinking
PECS training
Basic Makaton training
Basic Total Communication
Numicon
CENMAC-Grid Player
A creative curriculum for learners P4 toP8

Positive Behaviour Support level 1A
Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner level 1B
Leading Learning: professional development for lead practitioners

I have worked in several Special Needs schools in London, my most recent post being the Lead Practitioner in Complex Needs. I had the opportunity and pleasure to contribute in creating a complex needs hub where students could develop and thrive. I have designed and started to implement a complex needs curriculum and had the opportunity to collaborate with and contribute to creating the Equals Semi-formal Schemes of Work developed by Peter Imray, which aims to better meet the needs of children with additional needs rather being constrained by subject areas. The Semi-formal Curriculum focuses on skills such as Communication, Citizenship, Physical Well-being and The Arts, with a greater emphasis on helping to develop the highest level of independence possible for each individual student. I believe in a holistic and gentle approach to children, respecting their dignity and their right to be happy. My aim is to prepare the children to be rightful members of their community, who contribute and benefit from what is has to offer. I would like to see them access all available facilities and events in their wider community to their full ability and be seen in the heart of the life of their village, town, city. I want them to be happy, develop their interests and learn how to become independent to their full ability without having to abandon their dreams. I want them to be listened to and be heard.
