🌟 Kildare Down Syndrome Ireland participants and parents have been enjoying exploring the Barrow Blueway on land and water!

Participants travelled from the north of the county to try out all the inclusive activities at the Barrow Blueway Inclusive Hub in Athy, as well as a walk around the town before taking to the river Barrow on Cliff’s fully accessible boat!

Thanks to all who took part, families, volunteers, and supporters.

We had a fantastic sunny morning on the Barrow Blueway BikeHire Coffee last week when some of our members tried their hand at Kayaking 🛶 under the wonderful instruction of Matt & Majella through Kildare Sports Partnership. The Barrow Blueway also have assessible bikes to try out, these must be booked in advance. There is also a lovely Coffee Shop on site with home baked goods including gluten free options.

If your teen or adult member would like to try kayaking we will try to get some groups together. Please contact Gráinne on [email protected]
